Greatest App Yet...!
I ADORE this app. I can get what for my area has been VERY accurate weather forecasts, including all over the state for family and friends, as well as favorite cities worldwide--but that's just the boring basics. What is stellar about Living Earth is being able to manipulate the earth, and see how continents intersect, and where countries are located. I've toyed with buying a globe for decades--and this is so much more. For students and kids I think this is a must have app. I also think it's a FABULOUS toy for many of us, even 50+ year old adults. For the $1 I paid, this is about the best app money I have ever spent.
My Go-To App for Weather
I use Living Earth daily to quickly check the weather and temperature wherever I am. The interface is beautiful and the notification badge tells me the temperature at a glance.
My only complaint is that I don't trust that the temperature displayed on the badge icon is current since it relies on push-notifications. Most days I launch the app and allow it to update before I verify the temperature.
Almost a Good Nightstand Clock
The app is beautiful and works well, however it's not a very good clock app. The time can't get big enough that I can read it from across the room. Also, when the globe is bright the numerals are washed out and unreadable. They need to have a drop shadow or background for the numerals.
It would also be great if they had calendar integration and allowed the world time to be viewed at the same time as the weather.
