Solid and stable for me

No idea whats up with all these reviewers getting crashes.

I use Logic professionally every single day and I’ve maybe had one crash in the last 3 months on a late 2016 MBP. It was due to a 3rd party plugin. The people lamenting the switch from 9…. I don’t get it. I have a 1st gen 32-bit Mac Pro still running Logic 9 and use it frequently for certain 32-bit plugins and to just spread the load sometimes… now THAT crashes a lot. Plus, hyperthreading with 9 was not great. Now, I’m actually getting the most out of my processing power.

The continued addition of features, the amazing contributions by Camel Audio’s team (just wait until we see camel space and camel phat integrated somehow… im betting its coming), the versatility with both audio projects and video projects make Logic my absolute workhorse, and not only do I never see myself leaving, I don’t think any other DAW can catch up at this point.

Crashes often; lots of glitchy behavior

In the latest version, on multiple projects now, Logic has stopped responding every time I try to save the project. So then I have to force quit it, which causes me to lose all my progress since I couldn’t save it in the first place. This is a MAJOR pain and it should not happen at all. But there’s plenty of other glitchy behavior. For instance, if you zoom in too far (not even all the way) and try to splice an audio region with the Scissors Tool, the split will NOT be where you clicked, and instead will be sort of NEAR where you clicked - even with Snap turned off. In other words, it’s totally useless for audio editing. In addition, Ultrabeat often loads the wrong sample. If I put in “Snare (12).wav” from the J Dilla Drum Kit, for example, it’ll instead load up “Snare (12).wav” from the 808 Mafia Drum Kit - the file name is the same, but they’re completely different samples in separate folders on my computer. That’s only a few of the oddities that happen with this latest release.

This is Awesome!! :)

I love Logic and I use it almost daily; it performs excellently. I like to compose my own loops and add it to the loop library to save time when making other songs. However, I find it difficult to do so. One loop wont appear on one track like normal and each will duplicate themselves in random places on a large amount of tracks all at once. I’ll drag one of my original loops into one track then up to 36 or so tracks will simultaneously appear with duplicates of that one loop occupying each track in what looks like a staircase form. I really enjoy Logic Pro X and this is more of a minor problem that I’m not really bothered with but I would appreciate it very much if this could be checked out. Thank you very much for creating such a high quality, high performace DAW. :)
