LogIt is a simple application to quickly log events as they happen. The app was designed based on a work environment where one person is managing several customers at one time and needs to keep a journal of contact and actions with each one.
Log entries can be tagged for later searching or display. There is a global hotkey to quickly bring up the log and add an entry before moving on (see the help for using that hotkey). The backend database is SQLite and is open for direct access/modification by the user (see the help).
* Added show seconds setting
* Fixed commas in log entries when exporting CSV

dates don't work quite right
This is app is extremely simple. To create a log entry you add a short description, some optional tags, then click the LogIt button. So far, so good. There is one problem though. When you log an entry, it does not always log at the current time. The date seems to get "stuck", and new entries will keep getting added at the time of the previous entry. You actually have to go into the date field and enter the current time manually. It takes a long time to manually enter a time, and shouldn't be required. If there was a way to always log entries at the current time, this app would be perfect. However, the way the dates work now when you add an entry makes the app useless to me.
Doesn't share database
For a simple "what have I been up to" log, it's a very simple, streamlined interface. You can search, which is handy, and it automatically tags the comment with date and time.
What's missing is the ability to use this on multiple computers. I haven't tried to see if I can sync the database file with iCloud, but if I could change the database location I could put it in my Dropbox, allowing me to utilize it from multiple computers (since I travel for work). I think either synchronizing somewhere or being able to modify the database location (so the user could handle synchronizing) should be the next feature added.
wow, simple, great price
I am using this app for a day and I am amzaes how simple, and fast you can log information. I find myself having to "log" frequent events and issues, and with app I can actually see how the events have progressed. It also has a search option which lets you concentrate in just on a specific item, which at times maybe very crucial. Thank you for this app.
With Family Sharing set up, up to six family members can use this app.
