Great app!

I have been a long time Logos user, having first started using the Libronix Digital Library system on Windows 3.1 or Windows 98. I serve overseas, so the availability of scholarly materials in digital form is extremely valuable, as is the ease of searching and correlating reference materials to the biblical text. My electronic holdings in Logos now exceed my physical holdings. I have frequently counseled younger pastors, scholars and lay-leaders to invest in Logos rather than physical texts due to the ease of searching, the ability to migrate from platform to platform and the extensive range of resources Logos makes available.

Several years ago, I joined the growing number of people computing on tablets. My decision to buy a tablet was based on what mobile platforms Logos already supported. I have been very pleased with the wide range of functionality the app has afforded. When I travel, it is no longer necessary to carry a laptop for sermon or class preparation; my tablet with the Logos app contains all the functionality I need.

One of the best compilation of resources ever

I use Logos for sermon prep, bible study prep, and good ole fashioned personal bible study. The number of resources available for reading, downloading, etc, is unparalleled. All you have to do is search on a topic (love, crucifixion, faith, spiritual gifts, etc) and BOOM, there it is, with multiple books, dictionaries, commentaries, maps, or whatever you need. It truly allows you to condense your research into a virtually a single location. Perhaps the best thing that I've noticed, is that there's a earnest attempt to present the TRUTH OF GOD's WORD instead of just presenting one angle or one denominational view, which may or may not be biblically and theologically sound.

I only wish that more resources were available offline versus the need for internet. I may be a little unrealistic, due the vast range of resources available. Or, perhaps I just haven't learned how to make my most frequently used resources available offline yet lol (i'll be checking on this :-)

Great work folks. Keep it up!

As a free app, 5 star, if you own Logos, 4

I am a long time Logos user. I appreciate the app and I love having my library on the road, especially with my new iPad. However, I do have two major complaints. Positives first. You have your whole library, you can do word studies quite easily, and the app is pretty responsive. First, you are limited in how many windows you can have open. On the iPad, I could easily have 3-4 books open at a time, but unless I am missing something, app only lets me have two books open at a time. And, not all the books are synched. My Kittle word study is not linked to the passage I am currently on, which almost makes the book useless. If those two things were fixed, it would clearly be a 5 star app. As a free app, it is one of the very best out there.
