What's New in Version 2.1.2
This build should address issues for users whose apps were not updating regularly.
Loads and loads of bug fixes, including safeguards against crash loop bugs in the future.
-Fixes bug where articles from the future would load blocking updates at the top of the Feed.
-Added database reset on next launch if the app crashes within 10 seconds after launch.
-Articles would not retain their reading position when leaving and quickly coming back to one while on a slower network connection.
-"Recommend" button would be shown on top of the text in the read view when returning to articles after reading most of the text.
-Removed 2-second delay between opening a feed view and refreshing it from the top.
-Links would not respond to single taps after long-pressing on a link in the read view.
-Recommend button no longer disappears after tapping it and scrolling in the read view.
-Missing follow buttons on list views.
-Removed minimum article requirements from carousels in Explore tab.
-Reading history would not be saved when the user was offline.
I have several news agglomerators and they are great for short reads. This is something entirely different. Long articles from various publications and websites are at your fingertips. I've started bookmarking ones that interest me so when I can't sleep at night or have a long commute or just a bit of extra time, I sit down and enjoy one of them. I have enjoyed it immensely. I do wish that it was possible to save my location and not just bookmark the article. I often read only a part of an article and then have to go back to find my spot. Other than that issue, it's pretty much perfect and worth every penny.
Amazing app. Totally worth it
If you love reading articles, or even just dabble with reading articles, enjoying the occasional good read; this is the app for you. For the die hard readers this app is a must. For the dabbler, this app will help you find extremely entertaining and well written articles that is sure to spark your interest, and keep you reading. This is a must download. Trust me.
This app combined with the apps "pocket" and "flipboard" have become my go to apps, and changed my reading habits. I'm reading more than ever, and they help me stay informed and help pique my interest in a wide range of topics. Smarter because of this app.
Magazine quality articles!
This app is where you can read magazine quality articles from hundred of sources. Most of the articles are long, well-written and very informative. However, there is one flaw that really annoy me all the time. Sometimes I unintentionally swiped left (close the article) or right (change to Read mode), I swiped back and lost the section that I was reading. Therefore I had to scroll down a really long article to find the exact section where I left. I suggest that you guys should add a function like "auto bookmarking", it will remember where I left and return to exact paragraph when I open the article again.
