Works fine for my regular cameras but horrible controls for PTZ cameras


This app was easy to set up and works fine for my regular cameras. I can view all 8 cameras at once or just one. However, I added a PTZ camera which this app allows me to move the camera. Moving the camera with this app is almost impossible and very frustrating. I try to adjust my camera a small amount left or right to the view I want and sometimes it works. Other times it goes 90* left or right and all the way up. It usually takes a few mins and attempts to move the camera where I want it. This defeats the purpose of a PTZ camera which should be able to move to look at a subject moving on my property. The app also doesn’t give access to the preset camera views or tours that are set up on the NVR. If the preset views or tours were available via this app, I would not need to manually move the camera in this app. Lorex please up date this app and fix this bug.

Update 7/7/18 - My camera system is completely disconnected from the app and I can’t log back in. Now my cameras are useless to me. I paid ALOT of money for this system and I can’t see my cameras when I’m not home. Lorex fix the problems with this app! I will definitely not be buying Lorex ever again. I wish I hadn’t purchased this system now.

Frustrated and sad


After reading the reviews I thought this system and app can’t be that bad..... well, the reviews are correct.
I switched from ZModo system just cause I wanted a bigger field of view. Yeah well ... this weekend the cameras are going to be installed in the back of the house and ZModo system is going back up again.
Don’t get me wrong. Video is clear (if you press enhance every time) and night vision is good enough for the price.
Cameras are easy to install (don’t use screws that come with).
Wiring is a pain but, that’s part of having and doing it yourself.
The NVR, connections and video are great, but every time you view cameras through the app on the phone you have to press enhance if not video is awful.
There is no adjustment for sensitivity. I get at least 30 alerts a day with nothing caught to cause an alert and if you even think about putting cameras on privacy mode... then you can’t even see the cameras cause it turns everything off.
The IPad app doesn’t work. If I try to view any camera it asks me to log in and then it asks if you want to remove device.

Lorex please update your app please.
Need sensitivity adjustment.
Fix playback feature.

Won’t work outside of home network


Returning to Costco. This “cloud” monitored system doesn’t work and will not connect. I needed a system that I can access on my phone while I was on the go. I can only access this LNR6108 system via my MacBook while I am connected to the same network at home. Instructions claim “no need to port forward or DDNS”. Well, I tried that too and nothing works. Cloud doesn’t work, DDNS doesn’t work. Port forwarding doesn’t work. It worked for the first hour, never worked again! I have tried deleting this app and adding it back, deleting the device and adding it back, and absolutely nothing works. I am not keeping a system that has this many issues from the very get-go. Another huge red flag is their own website has many “page-not-found” links for the common FAQ’s. I’m going to go get my money back before it’s too late.
