Got very bad for a while, better for now
I have used this app daily for four years, and it has been a great help and is very easy to use. A couple of updates ago, however, they began turning off features that were previously free as a way to coerce people to use their very expensive premium service. For that, I gave them a one-star review.
With the latest upgrade, they have restored the one critical feature they had maddeningly disabled, and I am back to four stars for the app. But I am wary that they will pull something similar again.
The best (only!) way to lose weight and keep it off is by keeping a daily food and exercise diary. This is the best app by far I have found to do this. The only thing I would like to see added is the ability to set more aggressive weight loss goals. I am under a doctor's supervision with a much lower daily caloric target than I am able to enter as a goal in Lose It. My work around is to just look at total calories consumed, not the remaining balance. All in all, it is a great app!
Great: I'm finally accountable
This app is amazing because it makes you take a look at yourself. I have the free version and I've successfully lost 5 pounds in a week. Dieting without counting my calories and tracking my sugar etc was NOT working. I've incorporated this app into my lifestyle and I'm very optimistic for what the future holds. It's a great app and I can also communicate with others through it and make friends. I wish I'd found it sooner!
