What's New in Version 6.2.2

Quick Add Nutrients
If you've ever used quick add calories, you know that it can be a real time saver if you're in a rush. Now you can also include protein, carbs, and fats in those quick calories and keep track of your nutrients.

Health Kit Steps
We now sync steps from Healthkit rather than directly from your phone's motion tracking. Your phone's step counting is still included, but if you have an Apple Watch or other device that also writes steps to HealthKit, we can now use those steps too!

Health Kit Fixes
- Better support syncing of foods with only some nutrition data.
- Better handling of deleted HealthKit items
- Improve sync performance when more than 10 workouts need to be synced.

Other Fixes
- Fix a crash on the apple watch when a day has only exercise calories
- We also took care of a number of other issues, making Lose It! faster and more stable

Close to being great

Just a few improvements and this would be a great app. First of all, it is heads above Weight Watchers from a price perspective. The total annual membership is but a fraction of WW's. I also think keeping up with calories is no harder than keeping up with points.
So what improvements can be offered. First, auto sync between devices. I use Lose It primarily on my iPhone and iPad and manually having to reenter foods is a pain. Likewise I bought the electronic Healthometer scale and it won't automatically enter the weight across my devices even though I put both devices on the scale.
One more thing, the list of foods available is quite a few less than WW, even restaurants and supermarkets. I would think Lose It would be sending updates on foods at least monthly.
Does it work though? Yes, I'm within 10 pounds of my goal and look forward to tracking my weight from a maintenance perspective so that the old patterns of yo-yoing won't come back.

After using this app a few years ago, I ventured on to others WeightWatchers, Fitness Pal, Points Plus. With the new Apple Health app I was looking for a compatible app to use with it and was pleasantly surprised to see Lose it! Started it up again and the improvements are great!! The app has always had more of a community feeling than any other, the challenges are motivating, it's easy to use and all my previous data was still there! Yea! Even upgraded to premium...much more affordable than WeightWatchers and more cohesive with data tracking in the health app! Thanks Lose it! staff for your hard work!!

It really works!

I've only been using this app for a week, and it's really addicting. I enjoy the interface, it's easy to use, and I'm impressed with how much info you get with this free app. There are a lot of features that I don't use, but I think a lot of people would appreciate, like sharing through social media, or connecting to other devices. Using this app has made me rethink diet and exercise and helped me to explore trying new things. I'm only using it to lose about 10 pounds, but I want to continue to use it for maintaining weight after that.
