Fixed the issue preventing installation of the app on iPads
Fixed the issue preventing new users from syncing with the Lose It! Bluetooth Scale. If you were experiencing this problem, please disconnect and reconnect your bluetooth scale and you'll be good to go.
Scanning a barcode is even more convenient. Now, by pressing the Lose It! app icon on an iPhone 6s or iPhone 6s Plus, you can launch straight into the barcode reader.
We've also overhauled the way offline food search works to make it even faster when your device has slow/no internet connection.
And as usual, there's a bunch of small bug fixes throughout the app.
Best Diet Tracking App
The ease of use of this app is what makes it so awesome. The ability to track meals and nutrients is invaluable when it comes to starting and maintaining a long-term diet. In fact, this app has helped me lose around 50lbs. Not because there's any inherent magic in the app itself, but it helps you to see what you're eating which allows you to stop thinking about just losing weight, and start thinking about a healthier dietary lifestyle overall. The ability to scan the barcodes on food items for quick input helps keep tracking your food intake from becoming tedious. And the large database of food items in this app makes finding what you ate quick and painless. This app also allows you to keep track of exercise and weight. I highly recommend this to anyone who is interested in weight loss.
Really Does Work!
Three things: (1) If you're honest about the calories you put in, this will absolutely work for you. (2) Don't get hung up if you miss days or don't have the exact calorie counts occasionally (like at independently owned restaurants). (3) On that note, try to keep most foods simple.
Last year I used the app to help me go from 133 lb down to 117 lb for my wedding. I'm a short person (5'2") so this made quite a difference for me. Unfortunately, I ended up gaining the weight back (partly bc I was NOT using the app) and so I am back again. I have decided to mix clean eating with IIFYM and the protein, carb, and fat counters really help. The app also incentivizes exercising so you can have more calories - I recommend getting a heart rate monitor to more accurately count calories burned.
WOWEE! Ez and effective!
I needed to find a way to shed some pounds and lower my A1C ( blood sugar ) ..... With a lot of diabetes in my family I knew all too well that when you get an opportunity to beat it at its game the challenge is worth it ! This app is heaven sent . It easily tracks your calories and macro nutrients so that you can adjust day by day to hit appropriate targets for protein , fats , and carbohydrates . It is simple and I have not upgraded to premium.....no need at this point .... I have lost 40 pounds in 3 & 1/2 months ! That's 14 WEEKS !!! Thrilled :-D. and IEAT FRIED CHICKEN (a lot of fried chicken) once a week ! Great to find an app that I can use easily and consistently . Thanks a million to whoever developed this genius app!
