THE app for weight loss and maintenance

First, I have to say that the latest update has made one rather negative change that should be reverted: Please move the "Edit" button on the food logging page back to the upper left rather than the bottom. I regularly edit my logged food, but never look to see what features I would have with a premium subscription. Now I have to scroll up and down to make any edits, which is fairly tedious.

Other than that, Lose It! Is the perfect tool/companion/tracker for losing weight and keeping it off! After years of not being able to lose weight, I (sensibly) lost 130 pounds by setting Lose It! to have me lose 1 1/2 lbs/week. It took 18 months, and I have now kept it off for FOUR years by continuing to use LoseIt! every day. It made me so much more aware of what, when, and how I eat and exercise -- not just how much. It has been an important tool to help me make the changes I needed to make to lose weight and live a more healthy life. It's gotten even better over the years with the two-way integration with Apple's Health App and great reminders on your Apple Watch -- excellent additions to LoseIt's functionality!

Very Useful, helpful

This app is very handy, for starters, at helping you track your intake and your exercise. I did not use it regularly when I first got it. My mistake. Now I do and I really appreciate how mindful it makes me when I eat ( my college age fit son's words, who started using it, too.) i really like the option to input ingredients for recipes and come up w calories per serving, which you can then keep using from your recipe file, or even change slightly as I do depending on what you have. You do have to keep an eye out for the calories they list. Very rarely over the last few months I have com across an error that is significant. If you see something off in numbers, high when you think it should be low, check independently online. Found a spicy V8 calorie error that was pretty obvious. The app says I lost 12 pounds from starting with it, but I actually lost more, as I went up after I got it, then didn't use it. Have lost 20 since regularly using it. It also has social options and goals, and more options if you upgrade, which I have not yet done. Good value for a small purchase. Thanks!

Where have you been for the past 15 years?!

I have been using Lose It! Since November 2014 (paid since February 2015). I have lost 48 pounds so far, and I am motivated to exercise more and eat better by all of the various challenges, friends, mentors, reminders, and major perks. The Walgreens connection has netted me a $50 coupon that I used to pay the copay on my prescriptions! I earned fifty dollars by walking, weighing, drinking water, sleeping more and feeling better. I've lost 4 dress sizes and I can now shop at "regular stores" not just Lane Bryant, Torrid, or Plus Sized sections. I am an Army veteran and I had some service related injuries that prevented me from working out like I did in the army then I had a couple kids, went to college, and grad school, and my sedentary life was killing me literally. Thank you Lose It, I'm back on track for a long life.
