Hypnosis is a natural state in which everyone moves in and out of every day. We experience hypnosis when day-dreaming or when we have our attention intensely focused on something of interest. In this altered state of awareness, our unconscious mind is more open and receptive to ideas and suggestion.

Our unconscious mind cannot distinguish between what is real and what is imaginary. When we use the power of hypnosis to present information to the unconscious mind in our imagination, our unconscious can accept that as real and will then go on to respond to that new information. It is important to know that the more you believe in the power of your mind to bring about what you want, and the more you commit to focusing your attention on what you want, the better the results will be. One session of hypnotic suggestions will not bring about much change at all. However, repeated suggestions in line with your goals and a strong focus on the outcomes you really want will help you to make these a reality.

I agree, she reminds me of Mrs Hughes from Downton Abbey! I've listened to several hypnosis lose weight apps and I keep coming back to this one because I feel most relaxed listening to her voice.
Recently though, the app won't allow me to go to settings to adjust for waking or sleeping. Also, a couple times during the program, there are some distracting background noises.
Oh, and I lost 10 lbs in 3 weeks!
Sort of annoying
I quit smoking with hypnosis so I know it works, but for me this one is more annoying than helpful. She takes too long to get to the point and doesn't make as good of suggestions as others I have tried. It is a little too long. You spend more time "floating" than given ideas of eating healthfully and making good choices over bad. May help some, but just not for me.
At first I thought the people here were just saying it works for the heck of it. I was doubting it the first 10 minutes in and keep smiling to myself about how lame it was, sooner or later I started to feel relaxed but not completely...then I dunno I guess I was unconscious cause I woke up...to me snoring!!! Try it guys
