Sir Arthur Conan Doyle would surely spin in his grave if he knew of this treatment of our beloved detective. 🙀
The greatest sleuth and his trusty companion crime solver deserve so much better than this. I've played a similarly structured game involving Hercule Poirot - and also agonized over what had been done to that terrific Agatha Christie character. This is essentially a hidden object game with some mini puzzles thrown in. It's too flat and one-dimensional for my taste. Even though there are sixteen cases to solve, the HOS use the same scenes over.... and over...and over. No action, no cut-scenes, and that music - repetitious and nerve-shredding!! If that music replaced water boarding, terrorists would spill their guts in no time! I think we've just found a new enhanced interrogation technique - make them play this game and listen to that music!!
Reason for the two stars: Character voices are quite good and the idea of using Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson in a game was a good idea. Too bad it ended up this way. Would I rather play "Hound of the Baskervilles"?
Elementary, my dear Watson. 😏😏

I am giving this four stars because for once a big fish hidden picture game with no magic and no paranormal junk. I was hoping it would be a bit more like my favorite big fish hidden pic game ever...the Christmas Carol one, but it is not.
This is different than all the rest, a bit more similar to Murder She Wrote, but is VERY redundant. You are solving very short crime stories and the puzzles are exactly the same type for each mystery.
The mysteries take about ten minutes each. That part is nice. I pull it out and solve one each night before bed, but I'm getting a bit bored with the suspect game for each scene.
I'd probably give this one less star but I'm so happy to finally have a game I feel comfortable in playing since I don't / won't play them if they have witchcraft or paranormal themes so it got an extra.

I'm giving this game 4 stars because it's something different than 99% of the games in this genre. That is, no supernatural, creatures or way out there story lines. I'm not sure why it's so hard to create games based in reality. I'm sure I'm not the only person who plays games like this that isn't into scfi.
My biggest complaint though, are the sparkling hints in every hidden object game. If I want a hint, I'll ask for one. Please don't immediately tell me where everything is. I tried to turn off this function, but wasn't able to. Annoying!
