"Flaws aside, LostStar Tactics is one of a too-small list of games strategy lovers really ought to have on their devices." - TouchArcade.com
"LostStar is so obviously a labour of love that it’s impossible to dislike, and whilst isn’t exactly innovative, it’s perfectly entertaining." - PocketTactics
What's New in Version 1.1.0
- One new attack for each character class
- One more passive to choose from for each class (other than captains)
- A few balance improvements
- An expansion pack is available via IAP which extends the campaign and adds new character classes, cards and items.
One flaw is enough if it's a fatal flaw.
It's the graphics. I know, I know, you're very proud of your 5 year old daughter who did all the graphical design but look at your games. Really look. I have an iPhone 5. It has a retina display. Before that, I had an iPhone 4 and it too had a retina display. The 4S I did not have, but my friends did. Guess what? It also has a retina display. It's possible you've been too busy making awesome game design to realize that there's an awful lot of people out there who are not playing on their 3G or 3GS, even though I admit your current graphics are well behind the curve even for the 3G.
Maybe you should take the confluence of events and hire an actual graphic artist before your next game? I'd play your stuff all night long if the darn graphics weren't so stupendously bad.
I love it I was sceptic at first but when it came up free for a day or two I snagged it and I love it . It's just the kinda games I like to play I even love the graphics lol simple and pixelated but that's what makes it good kind of a oldschool with new school feel and you have to use your brain . I even bought the expansion . I hope to see more content updated cause I will keep paying for it lol . A must download worth every penny
This and Tactical Warrior are the only two purchases I've made for the iPhone. Brings me back to the good ol srpg days. Only thing I could wish for is a create your own character feature. Maybe a more dramatic story as well. ( I do write quite often if the creator is interested ).
