Customer Reviews

Irish is the most stereotyped ethnicity of all.

-Leprechauns are supposed to be bad.
-We didn't starve because of potatoes directly, it was the food that fed the animals also which affected nearly the whole diet.
- Most Red hair originates from Viking invasions.
-We also had our own language "Irish Gaelic" which is becoming extremely extinct nearly.
- Ireland is separate from the English Northern Ireland.
- The stereotype of being feisty is because a lot of the lives were difficult depending on which era and time period.
- We have faced slavery which is not educated about in school.
- We have faced centuries of Wars over nearly about 800 year period
- 1/4th of the Irish population quite some time ago were pushed into the ocean.
-The I.R.A. Is not what it used to be, it was how we got our freedom and Independence from England.
-Executions were held by British on those Irish who supported the United Irishmen around 1900s.

THERE STILL IS SO MUCH more stereotypes and unknown facts about the Irish life, I'm not saying the Irish life was the worst but I'm saying it was a hard life just like many others whom I'm not knowledgeable in and I don't judge and create names like "Drunks" or "Red-Heads" until i know what the circumstances are.
