Mind-blowing and beautiful

This is NOT a game you rush through. These creators obviously wrote a love letter to typography, earth science, paper craft, and books.
You appreciate the details. The puzzles are inventive, unique, basic concepts but yet not annoying or repetitive. The puzzles actually make sense in the context of the story. (And the in-game help guide is SO clever. It's a work of art in itself.) They actually are fun.
The book in the Library under "P" shows a bunch of old-time puzzles. The game puzzles are similar. I haven't finished Lumino City yet, it has a very mellow, relaxed, story-book feel. And obviously it's so beautiful. The music goes so well with each area.
The eco/earth-friendly engineering info packed in there is so awesome. It really is like a living storybook. I haven't read the 'making of' yet, but just the amount of detail in everything is amazing. I've never seen/played anything like it!
Update: I just finished. The puzzles were the most original I've ever played in a point and click game. Overall the game is SO beautiful, I love crafts, art, graphic design, and typography. They use it all to tell a basic but beautiful story. The only possible way to improve it would be to... make it less linear, like have more areas/choices to just wander around, explore, and examine things. Wow!

A beautiful point and click puzzler

This is a gorgeous game with some nicely designed puzzles. The art and atmosphere really are amazing and consistently so throughout the entire game. Clearly, it was designed to be played on a large screen as some of the critical details are minuscule on a phone screen. (I really wished for zoom in a few occasions.) However, on the whole the beauty overwhelms this minor issue.

The puzzles are a mixed bag. They start out as clever and well designed explore the environment and exploit it type puzzles and slowly transition to more of a find and solve the pure logic puzzle that State of Play seems to prefer. Since I generally prefer my point and click adventure games to be more in line with the first type of puzzle I wasn't too happy with the transition. However, the logic puzzles never got outrageously difficult, and they did a good job of pacing so that you are nearly always clear on what you are trying to solve.

On the whole I would highly recommend this game it is beautiful, and well put together.

Great story, a bit frustrating

I kept seeing this game in the App Store and wanted to get it, but wasn't pumped about the price. I decided to buy it on sale for 99c and I'm glad I waited. I love the attention to detail that went into the making of the city, but found myself frustrated with the controls. I'm not sure if it's just buggy, or the way it's designed, but I would keep tapping on objects that I thought could be used, it wouldn't work, I would then spend tons of time looking for other solutions only to eventually realize that the first thing I tried to press was the correct path forward.
Again, I like the story and animation, but the game itself was frustrating at times.
