Newest update and now I can't connect


I love driving for lyft and typically love their app but this latest update has left me unable to connect to the driver app. Regular app I can get into but this one will not load. This is my only source of income right now so on a Friday night this is s major blow to my income. I have reached out to lyft and was told they are aware of the issue and are working to fixit. I hope it happens soon. It's been almost 5 hours now that I've been trying to open the app

Update: I reached out on Facebook to Lyft and was told that developers were working on a fix and hoped to have it fixed in a few hours. The next morning I was still unable to sign on and reached back out to Lyft and was given the same answer - developers are hoping to have a fix soon. In talking with another driver he asked if I had iPhone 5. I did. He advised that this was where the problem was happening was on iPhone 5’s. I was able to upgrade my phone and now the app is working perfectly. I wish that this had been communicated to me from the person I was in contact with at Lyft as I would have upgraded the same day and not lost out on a whole day of work. But, still a great company to work for just could have had better communication like an email sent out to drivers when they became aware of the issue.

Need underage cancel option


Too many kids are taking rides alone on Lyft. There needs to be some sort of a cancel option for underage passengers. Perhaps you could have us wait 5 minutes for the timer to run out, click no-show, and select minor. This could in turn send a flag to your center and have the account suspended for 24-hours while research is done. This would prevent the passenger from immediately requesting another ride. There should also be an option for this when asking for help with a ride. This would probably cut down a lot of calls to your center.

Another thing to consider is if someone is a no-show and we have canceled the ride as such, if they ask for another ride we shouldn't be paired with them again. This creates a bad experience for both customer and driver. The customer expects us to know your policies on rates and always ask to get it refunded when I have nothing to do with that and tell them so. They get upset and have a bad time with the ride and usually rate us low which affects our rides (customers may not want to ride with a 4.0 driver). If they request again, they should be paired with the next closest driver instead of the same one that wait for them for 5 minutes, called them with no answer, and was in the way out of the area. Not a good experience all around.

Most Drivers feel the same with each common Issue


After reading all these reviews before I left my own, most of us Drivers all experience the same. I have had knives pulled out on me because One passenger did not want to stop for another rider in a Lyft Line, I have been punched from behind because the passenger did not like the route the app used. What made me stop driving for Lyft and using Uber was when I drove 5 Straight days for 10 hours straight without getting a Ride request all the while being a 5-Star rated Driver. The next reason is that I get 20 plus rides a day with Uber and make $140-$250 a day with them without any down time in between rides. I get ride requests before I drop off the passenger in my car. With lyft, I struggled to even get 9 rides a day and when I made close to $70 in that day, I would not get another ride for hours after that point. It seems Lyft does not want you to make money. At best I made $110 only because I got lucky and hit 2 Surges with 2 long rides 45 minutes or more. Without that combination, I would have only made just over $70. Been Driving with Uber for the passed 6 months and have no issue like I did with Lyft. NEW DRIVERS: Read these Reviews, listen to us and DRIVE WITH UBER. Everyday Uber Drivers in Los Angeles are making $950-$1,200 a week. That is JUST with Uber-X too. Uber Select and Up, pulls in $1,500-$2,500 a week alone.
