Switched from uber to lyft
Definitely easier to use than uber. I was using uber for two years and spend over a hundred dollars on it per month. Recently I switched to lyft and it is much better than I remember. You get text when the driver is about to arrive, when the driver is here, and when you finish the ride. Sometimes the data or wifi doesn't work and here the texts come. The app is user friendly. You can drag the pin of pick up location and destination easily, and you can't drag the pin for destination in uber, at least not when I was using it. Dragging pin on map in uber was a terrible experience. Something is wrong with their map. Moreover lyft allows you to tip drivers, so I can show my appreciation in a more direct way when I meet a great driver.
How did I live without Lyft?
I am a little late to the car-sharing game, but when I needed to use it in February, I did a lot of research between Uber and Lyft. This was before Uber had some political issues, so my choice was based primarily on customer service and how the companies treat their drivers. I decided to use Lyft, and I could not be happier. I have primarily used it from airports to hotels and on my return home again. It is so convenient to arrive in a city and know immediately I can have an easy, safe ride to my destination without having to try to figure out shuttle buses or expensive taxis. And all of my Lyft drivers have been so nice and interesting and safe drivers.
I like Lyft much better than Uber. The app is more user friendly. Lyft doesn't constantly make updates to the app. I like that you can split the fair and request multiple locations. Your driver knows when you get picked up that you have multiple stops. Uber you either have to tell the driver you want to go some where before your final destination, or change locations when you arrive at 1st stop, which frustrates some drivers b/c they sometimes get another request based on your drop off. I also like that I can tip my driver on the Lyft app. Tips are not included for Lyft or Uber drivers fare. Most people don't carry cash to tip. Keep up the good work Lyft.
