Really bad - so many glitches
Please note - some people are writing reviews saying how wonderful this is and how they use it on the computer at work and it's great. Please note that most of us who are writing the reviews about how bad this is are trying to use it on their mobile devices and it does not work. There's a very big difference between Lync on a Mac or PC (I ise that at work and it's great) and the Lync (Skype for business) mobile app. Please be clear which one you are reviewing as they are VERY different products. My review below still stands.
(Previous review) I really thought when this moved from Lync to Skype for Business that they would fix everything but nothing has changed. The most annoying thing (at the moment) is when someone writes to you, it shows that you missed the message and shows the beginning of whatever was written but when you click on it to see the message it takes you to the page to write a message but doesn't show you what was already written. Just a waste of time. Also, the "status" (available, away, etc.) is useless using it on your mobile device - in mere minutes, while you are checking your emails, etc. your available status switches to inactive. What is the point of having this on a mobile device if it won't stay available? Really bad planning. I can't believe they haven't done any upgrades or updates or fixes.
Glitch with switching between BT, Speaker, Phone
Its okay for getting into meetings and most of them are PPT meetings, since we're constantly on the move and teams a spread across the campus, sometimes often times we need to present from our phone display contents like a PPT or PDT so that would be a very needed wish that were there to help me out.
There is a severe issue switching between BT devices, Phone loud speaker, or phone ear speaker
Start with loud speaker, get into a car with BT and it will switch over automatically, leave your car and attempt to switch to phone loud speaker or just phone speaker- you'll notice there is no option for it and many times you cant even tap the options soft menu to switch into a different speaker.
Notifications are better but still buggy
The notifications are better in this update since the ring time is much longer and therefore gives you a better chance to hear the phone ringing. However the notifications are still quiet compared to a normal ring with the iPhone. Would like to be able to make the ring louder.
With our system we only have to dial the extension to reach anyone, but this app automatically puts a "+1" when dialing a number, adding extra steps in order to dial.
Getting to my contacts is cumbersome. There is also no way to add a contact from this app.
