DOES NOT SAVE!!!

The game never saves. No matter how you save, how many slots you use, or the way you shut the application down the game does not save. The puzzles and artwork were amazing. Occasionally though the puzzles were a little absurd in how to solve them. Especially when you try something ten times, because it has to be the right answer, and it still does not work. Then you use the guide which shows you that you were right, and then it all of a sudden works. I’m still really confused why that kept happening. As a puzzle game lover this game looked and was amazing for a short period of time. This game was so addicting that I stayed up too late playing it, and lost a lot of sleep. However when I returned home to play after a sleepless night all of my progress was gone. I saved on multiple slots the next time around, and still all of my saved data was nowhere to be found. Fool me once shame on me! fool me twice shame on you Amanita Design! Not cool at all! I rated this five stars in hopes that some would be buyer can see this, and not waste their money. The game is awesome, but the “not being able to save your hours of work on these fun yet tedious and sometimes absurd puzzles” earns it a half of a star. The robot moving one click at a time is god awful as well… Thank you.

GREAT game

This is a DELIGHTFUL game! There are WAY more than 3 levels = the first 3 are the free demo version. I haven’t found the end of it yet but I’m into the tens of the levels. A wonderful little robot runs around his world solving puzzles, helping and saving people and fighting (in his own delightful way) off the bad guys. Some scenes, especially at the beginning, are rather easy and can be run through quickly. But as you go on.. There is a hint section; one hint per level. Also a guide book, which you must play a shoot em game to access. Keeps you from giving up too easily.

As for saving, I’ve had no trouble whatsoever saving or loading what I’ve saved. It’s easy to do (and necessary = you will need to go back and fix), so any problems any of you have are not due to the program. I highly recommend this game to everyone.

PS Don’t be surprised when the little robot breaks out dancing.

Loses Progress!

I enjoyed this game and had some time to play so I played…. then I got busy and had to let it sit. Today, I returned to play while I had some down time only to find that all of my saved games were GONE. A little googling and I find out…it is designed this way. Don’t recal seeing any warnings about saving off your cache to prevent this problem. I would be less critical if this flaw was a noted issue and a work around was provided. Now I either have to decide to spend a very long time getting back to where I was or just walk away… walking away seems like the best bet given my time constraints. What a waste of money… who designs a game that allows you to save and load games only to find out they weren’t saved to disk but rather to some impermanent cache on the machine. Very bad design practice. The only reason I went to 2 stars is the game is actually very good and the art work it good. Sometimes it is hard to figure out what is needed and the pace is slow, but overall it is a nice game. Put some time into fixing the saving issue and it would be five stars.
