Single issues are available for $6.99 each, or you can opt for a recurring monthly subscription for $1.99 per issue.
Subscriptions may be managed by the user and auto-renewal may be turned off by going to the user's Account Settings after purchase. Payment will be charged to your iTunes Account at confirmation of purchase. The subscription automatically renews unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period, and identify the cost of the renewal. No cancellation of the current subscription is allowed during the active subscription period.

What's New in Version 6.0

We've move to an entirely new platform and app interface. Macworld now can be read in both landscape, portrait, and enhanced text view; accessible via mobile, and searchable across all issues. Sign-in with your email and a password. If you haven't created a password, go to or tap on My Account from the left side menu. For help, email, or call 800-288-6848. Your back issue libraries will be in the new format and will need to downloaded again. If purchased through iTunes, go to upper left menu > Settings & Help > Restore Purchases.

If it was possible...

If it was possible, I would rate this app with negative stars. Very possibly, the most confusing and subscriber unfriendly thing that I was exposed to doing the last calendar year. Even though I am a subscriber, this application charged my account for the December issue and I have not received any response back from my complaint to MacWorld. Apparently, I was supposed to know how to log in to their application, despite the fact that I had not read their email indicating all of the changes that took place. I get about 100 emails a day. I regularly/weekly read this magazine. This was a highly non-intuitive process for existing subscribers because, even after I read the email, it was a confusing process. It is too bad, because the Macworld Magazine staff deserves a better app interface particularly since this new one is worse than what it replaced.

What happened?

After two days of trying to login and carefully reading the lengthy email instructions sent out from Macworld, I'm finally logged in. However, the new format is terrible. It's basically the same as a plain old PDF reader. If you change it to reader mode, it looks awful but hey, you can make the text bigger!! It's a sad state of affairs for Macworld when the only magazine left standing dedicated to Apple can't deliver on a true digital experience. The old version constantly lost my place but at least it was better. Please fix. And fix the ridiculous login issues.

Why are magazine apps generally bad and this one even worse?

I do not understand why magazine apps are so bad. Whether in managing the subscription or in the interface, they are all frustrating, clumsy, non intuitive and wildly inconsistent. MacWorld truly fails and sets a new low bar for this generally terrible app domain because it seems impossible to get to my subscription. My help request from Dec 24 just got an answer on Jan 4. How is that for prompt service?
