Kids loved it!
I have been waiting for books my 8 and 10 year old could actually learn from and was happy to find they not only learn from this book but have fun with it as well. Many books meant for children "write down" to their level, but because of the interactive pages within Magic of the Music this book actually tells a great story and expands kids horizons as well. Great tool for introducing several subjects as well as multi cultural. Personally I thought the story was heart warming and now my 8 year old wants to learn how to play the guitar and my 10 year old is looking for more books on Mexico. Hopefully they will come out with more books along the same line.
Fun and Educational
While the reading aspect of this book is for older children (currently, my oldest is two), the fact that it is narrated allows any age to enjoy it. The interactive features are great too. Even as an adult, I found myself enjoying the story and interactive bits! I also appreciated how you are able to actually hear the music, as well as reading the story behind it. Highly recommend it, especially to those with slightly older kids.
