There's so many great things to say about this game mah-jongg. I love brainteasers so I'm addicted to it I guess you could say. I think this game is very well constructed and thought was very well put into it. I have played other mah-jongg games and this one was definitely the best by far. Maybe because it wasn't so difficult, other games were more precise. To add, other games were not as open-minded as the creators of this mahjong app. For example, this game let you mix the seasons tiles, others you had to get the right flower with the right season and it was just way too difficult and hard. So this was more my level (and my level is pretty high) and a I would recommend this app to many other people.
Smooth, quick and clean interface. Nice traditional look to the tiles, easy gameplay, no issues. Jury is still out on the "shuffle" option if you run out of moves. Great feature for a new player, but tempting for experienced players to rely on, lowering the stakes somewhat. Decent mix of layouts. Would like to see custom/user created tile sets....themes, like cars, geometric shapes, cartoon faces, silhouettes, band logos, sport team logos $$$ or just colors with team initials ( no licensing fees) Finally, a "reward" graphic / wallpaper appears upon successful completion, a hi-res graphic related to the tile set. Overall, excellent job. Bring on the next beta!
Great gameplay, too much selling
I would give 5 stars to this version of Mahjongg if the developer were not so focused on selling additional apps during gameplay. There are only six board set ups available before you are asked to buy another app. Yes, you can use the menu options to restart a level you have completed, but this is neither intuitive nor challenging. After you have completed the board, you are asked to buy another Mahjongg app by the developer.
I would have paid a couple bucks for a comprehensive Mahjongg game with multiple levels of difficulty and variations of board set ups rather than have game play interrupted by repeated attempts to sell more apps.
