Terrible, you cannot get support.

I bought a screen for this app, there's no place to find it and you cannot get support from the developers, "Page Not Found"!

While most things in this world are way overpriced for what they do, a few things balance those out by offering much for so less. Even better, for free. This app is one such thing. I didnt have a separate tuner- I used to use the online ones until I started using this. It doesn't require an Internet connection so I can tune my acoustic anywhere (for electric mando I have fender mustang amp which has a tuner). Being new to western notations and chords, this app has been of tremendous value. It shows not just chords but also the scales. Plus it has the sound too. I play by ear so listening to the sound of a particular chord again and again helps in identification. It would have been great to have a small staff notation sign for each note being played. None the less it's my most used iPhone app and rightly deserves to be the subject of my first ever review.

Grand App! Chop Chords in update?

Mandolin is my first choice of instrument, and I picked up this app because of Infinault's wonderful Ukulele app, which I downloaded to help me learn uke. This app serves to help me visualize the scales on the fret board in an intricate way. The inclusion of modal, pentatonic, and blues scales is really great for the player who looking to dip a toe into the "music theory" waters. The sound of the app is great - everything is on key - and the layout is very functional.

One criticism - the chord systems demonstrated here try to use all of the strings whenever possible. This is not a bad thing, but it may make things difficult for big-fingered folks to fit two fingers inside one fret on two immediately adjacent strings. Google your tendonitis and carpal tunnel exercises folks!

Update: This is an extremely individual and selfish want: but I would love to see a function in which alternate tunings may be fed into the app. For example, Sir Paul McCartney plays mandolin in FCgd, and I would love to see the app produce chords and scales for the exploratory mandolin player. Don't forget the open tunings either: GDgd, AEae, or even ADad. Thanks!

Would like to see chop chords in the future. 5 stars!
