Great manga app.
If you're looking for manga to read in a way that's easy and convenient, this is a great app that'll do the job. I've enjoyed reading manga on it but I have a few things I have to say about it that I want fixed, hopefully, soon. For one, sometimes when I'm reading manga, one I'm trying to read right now is "The Breaker" for example, there are pages that won't load for certain chapters and it's highly irritating to find those and have to actually look up the chapter online to find a single page. Some might not care, but for those like me that like to enjoy manga to the fullest, this is a pretty big problem. So please, fix this as soon as you can.
The only other thing I have a slight issue with but isn't a problem in and of itself is the fact that some manga I want to read on the app I can't find maybe due to the sources. An example would be "Vagabond" which I can't seem to find anywhere on this app. If at all possible, please add more sources. This isn't a huge concern, but it's something I'd like to see addressed if possible.
Other than the matter of pages not loading, which I urge you to fix as soon as possible, I find this app very convenient and great for reading manga. If the problem I stated is fixed, I'll definitely give this app 5 stars.
Love this app!
I love Manga Rock! Ever since my sister had her iPad I will ask if I can download this app to read and when I do she’ll delete it and I redownload again and again. However, before I discovered this app, I had Mangareader and it was fantastic until it became unavailable. Unable to find another fantastic app, I came across this one and it has been my “Go To Manga App.” It is my absolute favorite! I will get this app on every devices I have! (No kidding!) But when I had a galaxy phone and a Kindle I have to download the Definitive Manga Rock Version. (Also, I forgot to back up on the galaxy phone that I lost quite a couple favorites 😭) I have no problem with it as long as I can download the app and read it. Now that I have my own personal phone (an iPhone) I was able to download the app on the AppStore. Horray! However, the downside to it is that a few of my “favorites” mangas has been deleted due to the license. (<— This was after the update) I began searching for another manga browser because of the problem, but I couldn’t find any and realize I can just read the mangas unavailable for this phone on my Kindle since I was able to still read it.
Best Manga App - But Some Suggestions, Please Consider
I have tried various manga apps and this app is the greatest and most user friendly - hands down. However, the favorites section is too cluttered. Once you start reaching 50 to 100 favorited mangas, it’s extremely difficult to keep track of the ones you have finished. My suggestion would be to allow users to mark or separate the mangas they have completed, are currently reading, and the mangas that they are currently waiting for updates on. In addition, it would be nice if there was some way to mark the mangas that you have tried, but didn’t like. I have tried hundreds of mangas that have ended up wasting my time and I definitely cannot remember all of them. This is why it would be easier for me (and others as well) if there was some way to differentiate between mangas that are still waiting to be discovered and mangas one has tried but didn’t enjoy. I’m no programmer, but maybe one option is to put a little X in the top right corner of the manga’s cover art to let you know you didn’t like it. I hope the Manga Rock’s staff will take these suggestions into consideration, I will look forward to future updates with anticipation.
