What's New in Version 1.131
The graphics in the game were very nice. Navigation was difficult. Some items disappeared and game states that have already been solved reverted back to unsolved, without the items being available to continue. I opened the door placing the two gems in the statue. After going back downstairs and returning to that room again, the door was closed. One gem was back on the floor where it started. The other gem was gone. It was not even in its original location, so there was no way to re-enter the room. Also, after opening the secret passage near the end of the game, I went back to find the rest of the cards. When I returned to the secret passage, it was closed again and all of the pentagon-shaped stones were gone. The stone from the fire could be retrieved again, but the others could not, so there was no way to re-open the secret passage and end the game.
Like I always wanted a haunted house game to be.
This haunted house experience is what I've been looking for in 30 years of gaming. Be ready for a bit of an accent but also a ton of spooky ambiance. The unsettling atmosphere could almost scare you on its own and it certainly does its job. I did get stuck on one puzzle but it was as brilliant as "The Purloined Letter". I am in the game about four hours through but maybe 10-15% through. So far the puzzles have been logical but the game, to its credit, does not yield its secrets easily. A labor of love. Forgivably near perfect. Thank you so much for making this game.
Just mentioning a little glitch i found.
I love this game like crazy! I have solved it a few times and have found the gold. Still struggling to find a way to save Gavin though.
Anyways, i noticed in the room that leads into the one with the microscope there is a little glitch. If you go behind the sink (by going around the bloody stretcher) there is a chance you can fall through the wall. (Admittedly at the time i fell through i was running up against the sink trying to climb on it... Something's up in that room... I was trying to reach the top of the cabinet by seeing if i could climb on stuff)
You might want to fix it. I don't think its common to fall through the wall but it might happen to someone and they could get mad cuz they have to start all over again. Other than that i have had no problems with the game.
Really one of my favorite games. I wish it had more attention though.
