What's New in Version 5.12.2
• New Feature! Goals - stay on target and create a new goal today.
• Fixed stuff! We made some fixes to keep the app - and you - up and running.
• Improved iPhone Motion Tracking experience and integration with the app.
Last update fixed some major bugs
the app is the best out there but could be so much better.
The Last update fixed a bug where map my run would pause my podcasts and audible book while using blue tooth headphones and my heart monitor on my iPhone six plus and ios 8.x. There was a lot of finger pointing by their support as to what app was doing it and I know there is problems with iOS Bluetooth as other running apps (run keeper and Nike) had the issue. Anyway all fixed
I still only give it 3 stars because I do not like the subscription model and the company has too many apps that could all be rolled into one fitness app. Also I would love to see a tool on their website that could import data from garmin and Nike so I could have all my legacy data in one place. That would get it to nearly 5 stars
One small bug that persists if you use metric and set the interval to 1 km the verbal read out is given in metric but at the mile intervals. This bug arose several versions ago and has not been fixed.
Has worked better...
I've use MMR for years. Recent updates haven't added functionality for me but it now kills my phone's battery :( I'm guessing enhancements for using Apple Watch have been bad for the rest of us. Only went 6 miles and my phone show low battery. Wouldn't be useful at all for longer training runs :(
In general, I like the incremental announcements while I run to keep me on pace. I like the integration with MyFitnessPal for keeping food and fitness in balance. Hoping for it to integrate with Daily Mile! Like the friends feature to encourage family and friends in their fitness journey.
Would be Perfect w/ a Little Tweaking
Great app! I used to love my former app.… Until an update which was made started giving inaccurate readings on pace, distance, pretty much everything. Since switching to this one, I've been pretty happy. However, I would like to see a change made that would enable users to edit notes after a workout has been saved. Would also like to be able to view "current pace" AND "average pace". Overall, nice app.
