Super great and fun!
Marco polo is awesome! As a stay-at-home mom with two young children, I find this to be a very fun way to keep in touch with my friends and family. It's more personal than just a text, but allows things to be said and done on your own time. So you don't have to worry about bugging someone. They can answer back when they want to. I gave it four stars instead of five, because I wish that they had more options for moving around in the message like a scrollbar that you can slide back-and-forth to take you to the part of the message that you want. The only options of going back five seconds at a time or fast forwarding at double-speed do not satisfactorily get the job done for me as my family, friends, and I tend to be long-winded!
Edit: I'm adding that it'd also be great to have a forwarding option.
Was great before last update
My family and I have loved using the app until the last update where the voice change feature was removed. The app is no longer fun to use and more than likely we will stop using it unless the voice change feature is back.
Update: So the developer did contact me to let me know the voice change feature is still there, but was released to soon, you need to wait 30 days or 50 messages to get. Appreciated the contact from the developer, but this could have been better communicated in the app update which if you review each time is a standard generic message. Glad to have the feature back and appreciated the email from the developer.
Fun but needs an extra umph!
I love this app and have so much fun using it but I only have a couple of friends who participate in the fun. I know that Snapchat is a huge competitor for this app, so I feel like bringing some of their ideas over and recreating them would be ideal for this app. Such as consistently adding and changing/swapping different filters, or being able to send quick text responses to let someone know you'll respond later or you'll be right back or something of that nature. Just something to get people excited to use it again! Hope this helps, I want to use Marco Polo more but all my friends just keep sending snap chats! UGH!!!
