Make dolphins jump. Build a coral reef. Explore the deep sea. Create your own aquarium. These are just some of the fun things you can do with MarcoPolo Ocean, a “digital sandbox” for kids to play in that sparks their interest in the most unexplored part of our planet – the ocean.
Build and Explore
Six build-and-play activities bring the language and the images of the ocean to life. Ocean is playfully narrated and animated to reinforce vocabulary, physical attributes and ocean concepts.
Free Play Exploration
The open ocean is a personal aquarium your child can explore however he or she chooses!
*Explore from the shoreline all the way down to the sea floor
*Steer your submersible and boat through ocean waters
*Add marine animals and fish to the ocean and interact with more than 30 different species
*Investigate by tapping, dragging and swiping where the animals live in the ocean to see their natural behaviors and how they interact with other animals
Through self-directed discovery, we expose kids to early skills in science, technology, engineering and math (STEM), focusing on the following concepts:
*The wide variety of animal species that live in the shallow and deep parts of the ocean
*Construction and characteristics of a boat (shipping vessel) and submersible
*Characteristics of fish and marine mammals
*Topic-specific vocabulary exposure and acquisition

My toddler loves this game! Love toddler apps as free games of the week! Thanks!
Awesome idea for a game, very educational. My toddler played this for quite a while today and she was actually laughing out loud while she was putting together the octopus puzzle. It would be great if you added more puzzles, and it would be really funny if you made the shark not just make a chomping sound, but actually eat the fish if they're close by and you touch him. 😂 my daughter spent 5 minutes making that shark chomp.
For those complaining that the free app of the week is for toddlers: the world doesn't revolve around YOU. Good grief, did it ever occur to you that others might appreciate it, or that you're complaining about something FREE & then rating the game poorly in a tantrum?
The deep sea part is genius!
I downloaded this as a free app and will immediately buy the other offerings from this ingenious team of creators. I'm 4 decades past the age of the intended audience but I got a kick out of putting the items together and learned that there's such a thing as a 7 legged octopus- who knew? But the coolest part is what happens when you pilot the sub to the ocean floor. I won't give it away, but it's a thrill. My only complaint is that there isn't more to explore ... which is why I'm downloading the Marco Polo Arctic app right now. Fine work and an enjoyable stress reliever for many ages, not just kids.
So much to explore and find. My son likes to take the sub down to the deep and see all the colorful jellyfish. The new scuba divers are really cute especially their reactions when the shark swims near them. He loves the coconut octopus too! Hilarious!
