Marsbot is your trusted friend that can recommend places to you by learning from your preferences and the places you go every day.

Marsbot helps you discover new places by learning what you like and then sending you recommendations via text. Unlike a chatbot or personal assistant, Marsbot isn't here to answer your questions or help you do your laundry; instead Marsbot pays attention to your habits and learns about the places you go. From there, Marsbot can send you suggestions about great places to eat and drink that are worth seeking out nearby.

We are in early stages of testing Marsbot in the wild. Download the app and sign up for the waitlist if you’d like to help try Marsbot. We’ll start inviting people to meet Marsbot in NYC and SF first, stay tuned! Also, Marsbot uses text message to deliver recommendations so we require a US phone number in order to sign up.

A note on battery –
We've spent years developing the location technology that powers Marsbot, Foursquare, and Swarm, making it extremely power efficient. But, as with all apps of this type, please note that continued use of GPS running in the background can dramatically decrease battery life.

Forced opt-in for telemarketing?! No thanks

I'm interested in bot development so I decided to download this app, which immediately prompts you for your telephone number, which the app says it will use for telemarketing... No thanks.

Forced to accept telemarketing messages

This app requires you to input a phone number then consent to "receive autodial text messages (including telemarketing messages)" before you can even use the app. Telemarketing messages should never be automatically opt-in. Shame on you Foursquare!

I do NOT consent to this text spam so this app was deleted.
