Best Marvel Game in the App Store

As a die hard Marvel fan, this game was a real treat. I wasn’t a huge fan of Contest of Champions, but I am very excited to see Strike Force grow as CoC’s did. Being it’s a relatively new game, there isn’t a huge selection of hero’s. Luckily for me, Spidey is the first hero you get. I’ll be waiting patiently for Deadpool so i can have Team Red! My only issue with the game is the fact that it takes 5 minutes to get 1 single Campaign Energy. Maybe cut that down to 1 minute so I don’t have to wait at least 30 minutes to play one mission, but hey nothing’s perfect. Also, just a suggestion for the future, I would cry real tears if the game allowed us to change our heroes costumes (black suit spider-man, x force wolverine, etc.) instead of making us level up a completely separate character with a different suit like the previous Marvel games. Overall, stellar game. Highly recommend it to all my fellow Marvel nerds!

More of the same

Same old song and dance, cash grab character collecting game as most freemium mobile games currently. Game play is similar to a revamped DC Legends with better graphics and fighting animations.

In that aspect it’s less boring than Legends but still suffers from zero control over any fights ( no actual skill involved ) just button mashing when prompted to do so. The team who’s makeup has the higher power rating wins, period.

The game has some fun value, but it seems that it will devolve into a continual grind for resources to obtain both characters and shards needed to level those characters up. Either that or open up your wallet and become a wallet warrior to buy the resources you need.

Which, imo is pretty crazy, since all these freemium models suffer from the same purchasing issue. Way too expensive ( for what you actually get ) items to buy from the IAP store. You can buy multiple full console or PC games for what they charge you for a “pittance” of a reward or product.

That said, I’ll still play this, for a bit, until I either become bored with it, or the grind becomes intolerable. If you’ve been debating or thinking about playing, I can say that you’re going to have some fun for awhile, just don’t expect anything “ground breaking” or really new here. It’s just a time worn game model with a fresh coat of paint. :)

Just wanted to actually take a minute to rate this gem of a game. I usually never write a review unless I hate a game, normally if I love it, just giving 5 stars will suffice, but in this case, I’m making an exception. So, I’ll start by saying how amazing the graphics and animations are, crisp and clean. The combos are pretty well thought out and do look relatively painful. There are a ton of options available as far as game modes go as well, you can usually squeeze about 30 minutes of putzing around after your energy is depleted doing odds and ends trying to meet the daily goals. (Great touch BTW) Makes leveling up somewhat manageable.

But.... there are some areas I’d love to see some updates or something.
1. Maybe some voiceover action, couldn’t be that hard to sneak a few one-liners in there.
2. Would be pretty cool to see the characters interact with each other based on rivalries and alliances and such.
3. Definitely add the option to switch costumes... I mean, C’mon devs... you know how many nickels you could squeeze outta us for that option.
4. Lastly, pleeeeease speed up the energy timers. That would be sweet.

Anyway, thanks for making a great and mostly free2play game for us nerds.
