definitely worth the $
Really am enjoying getting to know my DSLR camera thanks to this easy-to-follow app. Have had my Nikon d3200 nearly two years and have always "settled" on using the AUTO mode for my family portraits. Two reasons: a) it's the easiest and my pics looked perfectly fine (to me; at least) and b) who really has time to learn a manual before the next big event? Ha! Took a chance on this 5 buck app purely by impulse very late one night and can already see considerable differences in my portraits. Right off the bat I learned I should immediately purchase a filter lens and seriously consider a diffuser for that awful built-in flash! 5 bucks worth of knowledge right there! As they say clearly, this isn't for any type of professional but if you're just starting or like me haven't elevated out of the AUTO mode...Get This App!
An Excellent Resource For Learning and Improving Your Skills
Whether you are a beginner or intermediate shutterbug, this "Hands-On" Application provides a very worthwhile and intuitive resource to hone your skills and gain confidence while learning and using the sometimes imposing and often times intimidating and confusing functions of the DSLR. If you find yourself always shooting on Automatic but would really like to learn and enjoy using the other more rewarding camera Modes such as A, S,TV, then look no further. This is the application for you. They say, the only way to really learn a SLR is to get out and shoot with it and that is true. This Application shows the way in a very simple step by step process. Without a doubt, if you TRULY WANT TO LEARNS YOUR DSLR CAMERA ...THIS IS THE APP.
More than worth the $$
The bad reviews look like sour grapes to me. This doesn't claim to be an owners manual. I read through all the info before purchasing.
If you want to learn about shutter speed, aperture, etc., I think this is a good, inexpensive choice. I have been taking photos that have what I want to focus on all blurry and vice versa. I learned quickly why this was. I'm such a novice that I didn't even know how a DSLR works. This shows you in graphic details. I've already learned so much in just the first chapter and my photos are already better. I can't wait to see what I learn next.
