The hit game Mathdoku Challenge is now available on the iPhone and iPod Touch to help make you a Mathdoku Master.
Simply fill the grid so that each row and column only have one of each available number. The catch is that unlike Sudoku, the board is separated into groups that are calculated together. Each group's total is displayed in the top-left corner along with the operator that was used. Operators include: addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
Each board is randomly generated to ensure that each session is a unique experience.
IMPROVED BOARD GENERATION
Our random board generator now checks the board before you play to prevent multiple solutions.
FUN FOR EVERYONE
Choose between six different difficulties with boards ranging between 4x4 and 9x9
Dynamic number checking lets you know if the number you just added prevents you from reaching a group's target amount and alerts you if two of the same numbers are in a column or row.
NO NEED TO GIVE UP
Using a hint will add a minute to the clock, but will give you a number on the board
MARK UP THE BOARD
Sometimes the slow and steady approach is the best. Using the marking feature lets you place temporary numbers that help you solve complex boards
DON'T BE MODEST
Show off your intellect with OpenFeint enabled leader-boards in our completive mode.
Openfeint enabled achievements make the game even more fun to play.
KEEP ON PLAYING
Free-play mode automatically saves your progress so that you can resume your game later.
All settings are automatically saved.
What's New in Version 1.0.8
Enhanced board generation rejects boards that have multiple solutions.
Minor Bugs, but a good game
The only reason I am giving this 4 stars is due to a few bugs that I came across while playing this addicting puzzle game. For example, while playing a puzzle, if I click the home button and try to change the puzzle parameters I get sent to a blank, black screen. I also noticed that I sometimes get stuck in a page (like options, or credits) when I make a selection in the main menu. The bamboo back button just disappears. I really like the fact that this program generates endless puzzles, but some of the puzzles seem impossible to solve logically. All in all, I really enjoy this app.
This is an excellent game that I play a few times each day. I would give it 5 stars if the fonts are more distinguishable.
If you wanna solve more than one "puzzel" per session without having to restart the app, check out the original Flash version on Mindjolt. ;)
