Discover, create and share beautiful filters. Shoot using real exposure compensation. Edit your photos in seconds… Mattebox is anything but standard.
The days of paying for filters are over! Find a great filter and send it to your friends using Twitter, text or email. They can use it right on the web, no app required. Or create your own—it's easy!
The Mattebox camera interface features an exposure compensation dial, dual stage shutter and one-touch white balance. Just three simple yet powerful controls, arranged so they can be quickly adjusted with just your thumb. Because your camera shouldn't look like the console of a 747.
With the lightning-fast nondestructive editor in Mattebox, you can make adjustments to your photos in seconds. Intelligent features like highlight protection and adaptive black & white conversion mean you never have to sacrifice quality for speed. Use RGB Curves for incredible control, or add film-like grain, vignette and more.
When you save a photo from Mattebox, it remembers which photo is the original, and what filter was applied. So when you re-open a saved photo, you can keep editing right where you left off, even if it's in the Camera Roll or Photo Stream.
Mattebox features groundbreaking integration with Adobe® Photoshop® and Lightroom® software. Save any filter as a Lightroom Develop Preset, so you can use it on the desktop. Or export a Master photo as a Photoshop document—with each filter reproduced as a group of Adjustment Layers.

I would like to see a little bit more social atmosphere within the community portion of this app. Unless I'm missing something I would like to be able to search for more than just the top 100 of which I think there are less sometimes maybe there's a way that that can be modified for the future. With regard to the quality of this app... I have used virtually every camera app in the store and there's very few that I will always go back to use sometimes just because they're fun to use this is one of those, but it also produces a quality image. I enjoy fine-tuning the images and I think the interface is unique, attractive and the developer is very much interested in hearing from you. So, before you have any negative feedback give him a try.
This might be The One
Many of us remember having one camera that we came to know intimately and used for everything. With the staggering variety of photo apps today, that old practice has largely gone by. We tend to use different apps for different purposes.
Mattebox might change that, for some of us at least. This is as close to being an ideal, no-regret photo app as one might reasonably hope for. It is as thoughtfully and elegantly designed as a fine camera. It has its unique features and charms and quirks, which you may absolutely love, or you may not.
But I'll say one thing for sure: You should have this in your camera bag, if you're serious about iPhone photography. You really might decide it's the one tool you need.
Hands down the best camera/editing app for iOS, an easy to use and accurate camera and a powerful editor rolled into one. I use it on my iPhone 5S as a camera, and as an editor on my iPad (you can specify which should open when you launch the app). It has many of the functions of a desktop editor like Lightroom or Aperture, and is a great platform within which to learn how to develop and fine tune an image. You can save a set of rules as a filter, you can easily apply edits to other images. And since filters are sharable among other users (a feature unique to MB), you can quickly apply a wide variety of looks to an image.
