The journal I always wanted
An easy to use journal that allows me to write, organize store, share, decorate & password protect. Just what I was looking for! My only issue so far is that sometimes it freezes up and won't let me write a journal entry until I restart my iPad. I hope they will fix that little glitch. And then it truly will be my favorite app.
I love getting to customize my journal appearance, selecting my text, text darkness & size. Adding photos is my favorite part and being able to place anywhere, overlap, resize, and keep stacked in the sidebar is fabulous! When I was finished with my journal entry i then had the option to create a PDF (or normal text) and email it to whoever or myself. I'm thinking of printing and keeping my favorite entires in a binder and the PDF format was beautiful.
If you share your iPad with family, like so many do, multiple journals can be created within the program, each customized and individually password protected. So you can share and still have your privacy :)
One thing since using it a bit more. A lock feature on posts so u can view them and scroll through them with maccidently moving pictures or editing, messing up, text
Perfect Journaling App
We have three kids, and I needed someplace to journal everything that goes on when it comes to their health. This is the perfect app for doing just that! It has a calendar type entry system and multiple journal capability that allows me to have a journal for each child. So when we go to the doctors office and he asks me what's been going on, I can tell him exactly when and how things have been happening...whether it's just a cough or when I gave them their last dose of medicine. I used to use a bound paper planner and was a little leery of going digital. I did a lot of research on the internet looking for the "right" journal and Maxjournal is what I found. It has everything that I was looking for. Definitely good for keeping track of past events. The ability to search was another thing that I was looking for. If I'm looking for headache history, it bring it right up for me. No need to sift thru tons of pages skimming for what you're looking for. I can also add pictures of things if I need to. All around a great journaling app that meets every need I was looking for!! Would definitely recommend...well worth the money!!
Started Out As My Favorite App
UPDATE: I started out loving this app and then took a break of approximately a year because of problems with crashing. I missed the features that I couldn't find in other apps so I decided to try Maxjournal again to see if the app had stabilized. I have been using this app again for a few weeks and I've had zero issues with crashing, locking up, freezing, etc. that are being mentioned in recent reviews. This app has been so stable that I am skeptical as to the authenticity of the recent reviews. It seems the problems have been resolved and now that this is a free app I am wondering why more people are not trying it and why so many people seem to be piling on. It's almost like a mob mentality.
PREVIOUS: I have been using this app for several months. Until the last update I have loved it. Ironically the last update was to address some of the very minor issues I had with it. Something happened with that update and now I am concerned that one day I will open it and nothing will be there. I have taken all the recommended steps to address the issues to no avail.
