Easy - No Problems


I was reluctant to try after seeing the negative reviews, but after a long day I just needed some quick food and service and decided to give it a try. Order selection on the app was simple and I selected one of the deals listed within the app. I submitted the order and drove over. It immediately recognized I had arrived and after I pulled into one of the curbside parking spots, I finalized the payment and input the number of my parking spot. 4 minutes later an employee came outside (in the freezing cold too, so I felt bad) and handed me my food. Couldn’t have been easier. I checked my bank account after and I was charged the correct amount. I’m not sure why so many people have issues, but considering how many stupid, sausage-fingered people there are out there I guess I am not surprised. Speaking of sausage, I think I’ll use the app to order a sausage McMuffin tomorrow.



In a hurry today so thought I'd go to McDonald's. Told if I order with app, I'd get free sandwich.

After 20+ minutes, and 6 people (w/1-2 managers) helping with app to get it working, they finally said app isn't working.

Here is why the extreme caution: I thought all was fine because they said credit card couldn't process order (my CC sends me notification when my card is used). Till I explained my CC sent me notification, they tried to say I had entered my CC wrong. They took my phone and tried to figure out what happened.

I now have 4-8 orders for everything from sandwich to multiple orders for "condiments".

Since you are required to give them your CC to place order, they can charge what ever they want.

I thought I'd cancel that card from the app. HOWEVER, the app DOESN'T ALLOW YOU TO UNENROLL a credit card.

So now I am just going to wait for all the charges to come in then take a trip back to store and hope they make it right.

App is supposed to be for customer convince. This was extremely slow, did not work right, and ending up quite possibly charging my CC 8-9 times. AND they now have my CC number.

Makes me never want to go to McDonalds again!!

Unclear payment system, employee confusion, and app bugs


The method for payment is unclear. I ordered online and had to input my credit card information. When I got to the drive through they didn’t know what to do. They asked for my card, but I thought I already paid. They should know how to communicate to the customer what has been charged and what hasn’t. The app gives you no direction on how payment is processed.

On another order I went in to pick it up. I stood at the mobile pickup for a while and eventually had to flag someone down to show them my phone and process my order. Honestly it would have been quicker to go through the main line.

All this I could deal with - but the deal breaker happened yesterday. When I opened the app the app automatically re- created my last order and sent it in. And it was a deal that had expired. I shut the app down and restarted it, and it did it again. So I uninstalled.

The deals are / we’re nice but even more incentive is going to be needed to get people to use this.

I am done until they are done beta testing this app.
