Great for My Needs
I must first state that I am currently living outside the U.S. so I do not utilize the sale feature. However, I still greatly enjoy utilizing this app. It gives me two apps in one. I can both search for recipes and create a shopping list effortlessly. Recipes can be sorted into folders as I expected and there are recipe recommendations offered. I am very pleased with with user interface and overall design of the app. I noticed one reviewer mentioned a feature to return to selected recipes after scrolling through results. This would. Be great. Of course you can just add them to your recipe box and then delete them as necessary. But a compare or like button would be a nice touch. Something similar that I would appreciate is a scroll of recipes recently viewed. It's frustrating to go through searches and if for any reason I leave a screen without saving a recipe I have to remember the exact search words and a scroll through all the results again in order to find the recipe again.
This App pretty good recipes. The only downside is that when trying to look at the directions of the recipes the App is not always very user friendly and will re-direct you to the website and then I won't be able to find the recipe on the App.
I do like though that you can save the ingredients which makes shopping at the store for recipes easier.
I almost rated it 4 out of 5 stars because I thought it didn't have some extra features that some of the other recipe Apps have but I was wrong. It has the all the features you could want including being able to add Notes to recipes and also being able to save certain recipes into groups with names so saved recipes are easier to find.
Good app but needs work
I would like to see the Food of the Day and/or Month as the first item when you open the app. I'd also like to be able to drop a bookmark of some kind as I'm scrolling down through all the recipes. Nothing is more frustrating than having spent 20 minutes (or much more) looking at recipes and suddenly when you back out of a recipe it automatically jumps back to the top. Another option I'd love to see on the app is the ability to Pin directly from the app. Sure I can save to my recipe box but I want to add to my Pinterest boards from here as well. I don't want to go to the desktop site, search my recipes and then save to Pinterest because it's a waste of time. I hope these tweaks are added in the near future.
