Great App that doesn't help those trying to stop addictive drugs
Does what I want. Reminds me to take my meds and nags me till I do.
Been using the app for a week now and found that it's missing a feature I need. 1/2 pill (or dose). I've been on alprazolam for a long time and am titrating down in an effort to stop altogether in the near future. So,,,, instead of taking a complete pill, there are times when I take 1/2 instead. The application has no provision for cutting down by taking 1/2 instead of an entire pill. OK, I could ask my physician to give me a perscription for some that are 1/2 strength but why not just cut the thing in 1/2,, and,, what happens when I want to use only 1/4? There are many addicting drugs that people are on. Many are making an effort to cut down or stop drugs they're addicted to and the only way is to slowly take lesser amounts as your body adjusts. This application has no way to do that. A simple visual pill (in the pillbox) that shows up as 1/2 or 1/4 instead of an entire one would help quite a bit.
Good app but doesn't help anyone who's trying to taper down on addictive medicationss.
Watch App Not Syncing and Support a Disappointment
I was seeking a pill reminder to track medications for my husband and myself. Sometimes those evening pills are hard to remember in the hustle and bustle of the day. Unfortunately, it seems this company has not kept up with apple updates. Before posting this negative review and since February 23 I have been reaching out to the company for help. It is now the last week of April. At first, they seemed to be interested in helping but after a while I got no responses other than we are looking into it when I send a request for an update. Bottom line, the watch app does not correctly sync with the phone and users continue to get reminders that the med friend has been notified. All this, while the app has been marked to show meds have been taken. Great potential has now turned to disappointment.
**REVIEW UPDATE MAY 25: Company posted the note you see here. I responded the same day and received another message stating they would look into the problem. It is my understanding from earlier correspondence they were already looking into the problem. I have not heard from them since. I have lowered my rating from a 2 to a 1. It has now been 3 months and 2 days.
Good, Room for improvement!
This app does an absolutely phenomenal job of tracking the mess I have, and of reminding me to take them. The link-ups to doctors with meds and total data is totally genius.
The biggest improvement that now that I see it, glares at me, is the ability to put down the date of the prescription (or the date of last refill/expiration/etc) and I'd love that rather than "suspending" a medication (be the bottles still sit in our cabinets, and sometimes are used for doses/etc), there would be a function to say "in storage" where it allows easy dose of it, but keeps it in a separate visual section be not in active use. Just some ideas that I'd love to do, and if I could see things like that happen my heart would be set. But would and have recommended this app, the time and effort going into it is beautiful and well done. TL;DR: Good app, could add prescription times and storage opts, but just hopes.
