Megaphone is the new must have app for your iPhone!
Megaphone transforms your iPhone into an instant Microphone, PA system or Megaphone when you plug it into amplified speakers.
It is really simple. If you are at a party and playing music from your iPhone on the stereo, you can just launch Megaphone, and use your iPhone as a Microphone as you make a speech! You will never need to hire a microphone again.
-Just plug in a stereo or amplified speakers into the headphone jack, launch Megaphone, and start talking! Its that easy.
-Plug the iPhone into an FM transmitter for a wireless microphone
-Great for speeches at parties or functions

Works as advertised
Used app with my Bose Sound Link Mini, Sony Docking System, Sony SAT Amplifier and in the Aux mode of my Toyota Highlander AM/FM/CD/AUX Amplifier.
You get unbelievable amplification of your voice through those speakers systems.
Will use primarially as a PA system for social club presentations. On an 4S the microphone is upside down from normal configuration. It allows the 3.5 cable to mounted on the bottom of the 4S just like a normal microphone. The top of the microphone is now located where the voice inputs are the phone which allows close up voice projection. To prevent squeeling, just get a longer 3.5 cable or stand to one side or the other from your amplifier/speaker system.
This app works pretty much as expected. Plugged headphone jack into mic or rca input on stereo and you have an Iphone microphone. Gotta watch for feedback of course. You can use the side volume buttons to adjust. My only complaint is the speaker icon on the app appears to be backwards from what it should be. Sound waves mean mic off while no sound waves mean mic on! ??? A red light when the mic is on would help avoid the confusion.
It's a straightforward app and worked fine for me. Need a really long cable to avoid feedback at medium-high volumes.
I'd love to see 2 enhancements. 1) Make the "On" button better. You can't really tell if it's on or not by looking at the button because the icon is the opposite of it's current status - not very intuitive. Maybe put a red "Record" light on it when it's on. 2) Please make this work with Bluetooth speakers. No one uses wired speakers any more.
