Not Bad

I recently switchd to Mac. I am a writer and on my PC I had an amazing writer's journal that I used for years. It had writing promplts and all kinds of nifty features. This journal was the best I could find to replace it on a Mac. I really miss my calandar charms which I could add on the days in the small calendar to give me hints if I had something special recorded on that particular day. For instance I could add a charm if I recorded a dream that would make a nice story or a differnt charm if I wrote a poem for my entry. Memoires is nice and gives plenty of room to include all your thoughts instead of limiting you to a few words. You can add photos as well. It took some figuring out that I can save one journal and use it everyday. After deleting several copies, I am now using the one I figured out. I wish they would make it easier to set a default font color.

Add in: I am still going back and adding previous journal entries from old journals and ir would be really nice if there were a "Jump to:" feature. Can't even hit anything to return you quickly to "Today".

Bug found

I found a bug. I downloaded this app and it was automatically opened right after downloading was completed. I wrote a simple diary but couldn't save it. Then I closed with not saving. "Save" and "Save As" didn't work. Then I re-ran the app and typed and saved. Then it worked… so if any of you have the same problem do not be panic and just copied the word somewhere and re-open the app. Then you will be fine.

New updates, still the same ol' app

The new update basically 'fixes' the full screen view button, and adds encryption to the journals (which was supposed to be in the original release, but wasn't until the current issue).

I really wish the fullscreen didn't go from one edge of the screen to the other. It needs to be adjustable! I could rattle off 2 full sentences on my 17" MBP screen before hitting the next line.

It would be really nice if there was a feature that could let you choose whether you wanted to open one default journal or have a dropdown menu of journals. I don't always want to use the last journal that was open, and it's annoying how it opens a new journal when you hit close.

Still a great app that I use multiple times per day. Very minimal and powerful.
