AWARDED MACWORLD 'MAC GEM' 2013 - The Best Memory Cleaning App

Memory Clean is the ultimate app for optimizing your Mac's memory and is best used after you have finished using a memory (RAM) intensive app or game.

With the slickest interface and user experience, Memory Clean stands head and shoulders above the rest.

Note: Memory Clean works by purging the Mac's inactive memory and is best used when you close an intensive app that you do not plan to use again quickly within a few hours. During the cleaning process, older Macs may slow down until the cleaning is complete.

Incessant upsells for a marginally useful application

First, every time I run this, it’s trying to upsell me to the other applications or write a review or subscribe for more ads or visit their website … everything other than running the application. The latest attempt to extract more revenue is “new color themes” as an in-app purchase. Or the privacy protector. And so on. It’s really obnoxious to the point that I’m deleting all fo their apps.

As far as the utility goes, it’s not really clear what benefit this is providing beyond forcing a cache flush - something the operating system will do for you eventually. Moreover, since Apple instituted sandboxing, the file cache readings are not representative.

Perfect - the only app that CORRECTLY reports free and used memory

This has been an essential daily tool for the last several years for me.

It is currently the only app on the App Store that correctly reports free and used memory. All other apps are overstating how much memory is used. Memory Clean’s reported figures tie up perfectly with Activity Monitor’s reported Used Memory and App Memory figures, whereas all other apps I’ve tried are overstating used memory by 3GB for me.

Love the addition of the themes!

Incorrect numbers

I really liked this app up until the most recent update. It now shows that i constantly have 3-4 GB of free memory in the status bar, but when I open the app it has absolutely no free storage left. It has been very frustrating these past few days feeling like I have a bunch of free storage but actually having none. I am switching to another app until I hear that this has been fixed...
