Now with Apple Watch support!
View your iPhone's battery level and amount of (free) memory available on your Apple Watch.

Memory Pro displays the different types of memory currently available on your iPhone or iPod touch. This is different from the storage capacity used for storing music, videos or apps.

Free Memory
This memory is not being used currently

Wired Memory
This information can't be moved to disk, so it must stay in RAM. The amount depends on the applications you are using.

Active Memory
This information is currently in RAM and has recently been used.

Inactive Memory
This information has not recently been used but will remain in RAM until another application needs more memory but no free memory is available. If called upon by a process, this is quickly changed to Active memory; if it has been swapped to the hard disk, it will be moved back to RAM and marked as Active.

The iPhone and iPod touch comes with 128MB-1GB of runtime memory. The iPhone and iPod touch does not use the storage memory as virtual memory, so the memory available for applications is limited to the 128MB-1GB of runtime memory.

Apps can remain running in the background even though you have closed them.

The running processes table shows all applications or system processes currently active. PID is the process ID.

Customer Reviews

I'd rate this -5 stars. Charged me $0.99 and doesn't show any processes to stop. Not happy.

Worthless and misleading

Does not, in fact, let you stop a process. Just offers a help tip (out of date) that shows you the standard method for closing an app.

Old, but Still the Best (on a 5s w/ iOS 10.x.x)

(First: I have no relationship w/ the developers, but I felt like I needed to put in my 2 cents, to counter negatives from users who don't recognize good app design).
Memory Pro is one of oldest apps, and still works PERFECTLY ON MY PHONE w/o glitches (iPhone 5s, 1 Gb RAM, 64 Gb, latest iOs 10.x.x)
With all these memory refresh apps, the only STABLE way to begin is to hit the home button twice, and swipe your excess apps up to stop them---THEN run the memory refresh). If apps are closed, Memory Pro will still remind you, but you just go to next screen & refresh. iTunes likes lots of free RAM, so I use this if I doing lots of searching & downloading). Apple restricts control over starting & stopping apps, so it's More Stable
(= less hassle in the long run) to close all apps, then refresh RAM to clear out memory cobwebs, Then open the apps you want to use. I've purchased several RAM refreshers, and so far the others all crash or don't clear much RAM, or think my iPhone has 2Gb RAM.(?)
I wish the developers would at least verify their code for current iPhones and give a newer date for this app, but it continues to work great for (but I personally have not tested on iPhone beyond 5s). One of first, and still the best!
