Micro Expression Training
By Tom Rothe
This app is only available on the App Store for iOS devices.
From Berlin to Shanghai. Everywhere the same: People are more successful, if they can read others. Micro Expressions are split-second facial expressions. Almost everyone shows this phenomenon.
With the app "Micro Expression Training" you can train to read and judge this instinctive mimik. You can gain deep insights into the real feelings of your opposite by reading Micro Expressions.
"Micro Expression Training" is the first complete training tool for iPhone/iPad - with all of the 7 fundamental emotions and 15 different faces.
What Micro Expressions are good for
Micro Expressions flash for a short period of 40 to 200 milliseconds. Almost instantly after the true emotion was shown, the face changes to a conscious facial expression.
The benefit of recognizing mimik in a split second is the ability to react more emphatic. Wouldn't it be awesome to have the right instinct in every social situation? Anybody who can detect real emotions will not ask the boss for a raise if he/she is in a crumpy mood.
The body can't lie. Professional lie experts from the FBI use non-verbal signals to solve their cases for a long time.
Learn to read Micro Expressions
The App "Micro Expression Training" trains reading other's unconscious facial expressions. Fifteen people flash an emotion for a quick moment. Your task is recognize and judge these expressions. The emotion library guides the way and teaches what to look for.
Watch how you get better in reading peoples true emotions in a snap.
What's New in Version 1.0.3
added 19 body language facts
added facebook support
updated imagery / photo selection
enhancements and iOS updates
The app is overpriced for what it is. There are not too many facial expressions and some of the information given to you seems more like of opinions instead of facts at times. They literally flash the expressions so you have to refresh it to take one or multiple looks. The facial expressions are exaggerated like when you try to teach a child what they mean. Really was hoping that it would a bit more subtle to read certain expressions that aren't so obvious at times. There should be more expressions and definitions or tips to spot certain emotions or expressions when the person is being genuine or not. This app may not be a professional tool but the idea was good maybe it will be upgraded down the line.
I watch the show lie to me and decided this would be awesome! I bought it ignoring the previous rating... Don't ignore it. If its ever updated, it might be better... But I want my money back.... Just trust me, i've never written an app review before this. Take my word, at least wait for it to go to 99cents it teaches you the facial expressions...but it's quite limited in the number....there are thousands to be taught....give me some more!
Not useful for therapy
This app would be terrific for teaching autism spectrum students the facial features of various emotions. Until the time for seeing the expression can be lengthened it is useless as a teaching or training tool with middle school students.
