Weird App; 1 Great Feature: the Checklist

I accidentally discovered the new ability of OneNote on iOS on the iPhone to make a checklist that would allow items to disappear when checked, and also to move items from day to day. Terrific! Just what I had been looking for! I had not been using the app much up to then.
However, it appears that the syncing only flows from the computer version to the iOS version. Last time I tried to sync from the Mac computer, OneNote erased the most current version, on the phone, that I really wanted.
Doesn't it seem like most people would keep the latest version on the phone?!
And, changes made on a phone don't sync easily to a tablet. To sync after new version downloads, I had to reset the tablet app.
It also appears that the computer and tablet versions do not hide the done items on the checklist.
The workaround might be to get rid of all the versions except for on the iPhone.
Have read that Microsoft OneDrive, which stores the checklist, is unreliable for syncing, as well.
That said, I value the checklist feature on the iPhone.

Great, but incomplete for iOS

I use OneNote on my iPad for taking notes in grad school and I love it, but I really wish I could record lectures while simultaneously taking notes. The OneNote iOS app currently doesn't allow you to do anything else on it while it's recording audio which is very frustrating. It also would be nice if lecture slides and documents from PowerPoint and Word could be directly inserted into OneNote. Right now I have to convert documents like these to PDF format before they can be inserted into OneNote for note taking. For now, the app is still very good and I will continue to use it.

App ruined by update and unresponsive customer service

I had been using this app regularly for over a year until a recent update removed a formatting aspect that made it useful to me. Its removal makes the app unable to function as I need it to, and the iPad iteration no longer matches what appears on the Mac. The Sections used to display as tabs across the top, now they are on the side, and it means one can't jump to a section the way that used to be possible. Critical for what I need. Surely they will restore it as at least an option if I write them? Many of us wrote, I see, and got no response. So the app, while it had great promise, won't any longer serve my purpose. Too bad. I return to the hunt for an app that will.
