I love this app

I love this app- it's free and all you need to access and sync between phone, desktop, and online, is a free Microsoft account. I have several "notebooks" that I use for both work and personal things. I love the ability to create little checklists - and to share them with work colleagues and we can all check them off individually in one centralized list. I love that it syncs so easily between the app and the on line version. It is easy to access the editing tools to change fonts, colors, highlight, whatever. The checklist feature for me makes it easier to use than Google Drive. The only thing I do NOT like at this point- is that when you "share" with someone- it shares the whole entire notebook, not only that specific document or page. There are many times when all I want to share is a document, NOT the whole entire notebook. So if you have anything confidential in there, do not share a doc with somehow or law they will have access to the entire notebook. I can't seem to refine th "share" function so it works better. Fortunately, you can put any stuff that is confidential in a separate notebook- but just don't share it with anyone. If I could just share one individual doc and NOT inadvertently give someone full access to the entire notebook, I would give it 5 stars. And, as with anything online these days, make sure you change your Microsoft passwords frequently. 😬

So Great, But 1 More Thing

I actually have this app on my HP laptop and I use it for all my writing needs as I write fan requests and other personal drabbles. I love using OneNote on there so I don't even know why I never even thought of using it on my iPhone! I absolutely LOVE and highly APPRECIATE the ease with which I can sign in and ALL my works are there for m to work on right on my iPhone. Sheer brilliance. There's only one thing I wish I could do and that's keep/switch to my favorite font that I use all the time on my laptop version of OneNote: Kalinga. I adore the way the font has nice curvature to its letters and it's just an all around great font that I use all the time, along with the font Segoe Script for when my characters write period piece letters. Being able ti change fonts the way I can in my laptop, would make this app 110% in my book! Or should I say, iPhone? Yeah, I'll see myself out now 😂
Thank you so much for this and I hope to see this change in any of the future updates!

Well done, Microsoft!

I work for a distributor representing several suppliers and take lots of notes in order to manage many simultaneous projects. I previously used Word to keep all my notes by customer. This was helpful but now, after switching to OneNote, I can easily classify all my activities and projects by supplier which saves me lots of headaches and time looking for information.

The program itself is fast, easy to use and some of the table features are easier than Word. No crashes (knock on wood). I particularly enjoy the "insert" feature which lets me paste printouts of excel files and PDFs into OneNote so I can makes sales visits and have all my information in one application. Combine all this with a One Drive cloud subscription and I can access and edit my notes from any device.

I'm in heaven. Much fewer dropped balls and this new way of working is making me $. I can think of a few improvements but I'm too busy enjoying what I already have.
