Thanks for all the feedback sent to us through the App Store, in-app feedback and email. We’re working hard to make this app better with each release. In this version we addressed the following issues:
• Added dark mode support for macOS Mojave 10.14.
• An option to import from Microsoft Remote Desktop 8 now appears in the Connection Center if it is empty.
• Addressed folder redirection compatibility with some third party enterprise applications.
• Resolved issues where users were getting a 0x30000069 RD Gateway error due to security protocol fallback issues.
• Fixed progressive rendering issues some users were experiencing with fit to window mode.
• Fixed a bug that prevented file copy and paste from copying the latest version of a file.
• Improved mouse-based scrolling for small scroll deltas.
Please keep the feedback coming. We read it all. If you encounter any errors, you can always contact us via Help > Report an Issue.
Note: If hardware acceleration (specified in app preferences) is not available or enabled, there will be a tradeoff between the graphics rendering performance and the quality of some text in the remote session. As the interpolation quality (specified in app preferences) is increased, some text in the remote session will appear sharper, but graphics rendering performance will decrease. This side-effect will be especially evident in fit to window mode. In the absence of hardware acceleration, if graphics rendering performance is important, the interpolation quality should be set to None, with the result that some text will appear blurry, but rendering performance will be more optimal.

Good tool with potential to be great
Definitely speedier than the 8.0 version, with a few minor UI glitches. When I hit view connection center in full view, I get locked into the remote session and have to quit (Cmd-Q) the app to get back to the Mac desktop. Also when I first launched the app, all of my connections were missing. I assumed I would have to rebuild them like the transition from MS Office 2011 Remote Desktop to Remote Desktop 8. I was surprised when I found the import option under the connections menu. The only improvement I would make is to ask on first launch if you want to import from Remote Desktop 8. If you are using Remote Desktop 8, I recommend this upgrade.
Update 1: The glitch I describe only happens if you pin the Connection Window to the Menu Bar. If it is not pinned it works just like Remote Desktop 8.0 and allows you to get back to the Mac Desktop without quiting. I like the Pinned menu, but until this is fixed, I need to leave it unpinned.

Was working great - till update
Not sure why you keep breaking a tool that so many rely on daily.
This latest version crashes (on the Mac) if I type too fast in Visual Studio on my Windows Desktop at work. I get the spinning beachball- have to exit to the Mac, force quit MRD and restart it, then reconnect. I'm finding myself doing this at least 2 or 3 times per hour! I try to type slowly, but then end up getting really focused on my work and start moving faster. I use VI so I'm typing everything and it seems to be when I'm repeating an edit over and over that it crashes MRD. This is a Productivity KILLER! Like I said it happens when I'm focused and your bug is a sure way to kill that focus - every time! I wish it were easier to revert to an older version. I was forced to update when I upgraded to Mojave and decided to start clean and re-install everything. This is the only app that makes me regret that decision!! I was on an old stable version and had been refusing to update. Sigh!
Fantastic, fast, and smooth from my small use
Had no qualms with the “square logo” version. I used it often, using both Active Directory logins and local logins. Did mass software installs on multiple machines simultaneously all remotely from the app. This one I feel like runs even faster and smoother than the last one! Great job, devs. I also can see on here that the devs are responding to many of the (often unbelievably whiny and uppity) complaints on this review page, often proving the customer wrong or letting them know that their desired feature is forthcoming. Thank you for your dedication, dev team. I feel these guys deserve a 5-star review. The average rating for this app largely seems to be due to customers’ ineptitude or ignorance, so the rating really isn’t fair or telling of the quality of the app.
With Family Sharing set up, up to six family members can use this app.
