Super Helpful

I find myself using the app version of Word much more than my laptop version these days. One, it automatically adds in updates typed up by another author. It is so wonderfully convenient that you don't notice you love that function until the laptop doesn't do it for you and you potentially lose the changes altogether if you edit the not-updated document. Two, the app rarely prompts me to sign in (and refreshes files correctly and immediately) whereas the Mac version loads my original user documents (despite having long signed out of it) or randomly signs me out while working on a document (and then it says I don't have permission to save). Three, the reflow works so well for me. It keeps me from getting distracted by what font would look better, makes me stay in app instead of doing needless research, etc. I really wish the reflow was available for iPad too because it makes typing and editing less strenuous on the eyes. Overall this is a spectacular app. The one problem I had with it not letting me rename documents was resolved a few updates ago. This team should try tinkering with the Mac version.

Recommended, with room for improvement

Overall, I highly recommend this app. Word is polished, easy to use, and the editing features are robust. I like how Microsoft balanced functionality with ease of use, bringing over many of the most useful tools and options from the desktop version without making the product over complicated.

There are a few areas where the app could definitely improve:
-While OneDrive works well for the most part, every so often I will be editing my book and be told that differences between the uploaded version and what I've been working on could not be resolved. In these cases, I have to save a copy of my document and continue from there. This seems to occur even when my connection is fine and my edits are minor, such as only changing a handful of words in the middle of a paragraph.
- I miss webview, or having something similar. I want to be able to zoom in to make what I've written easier to read, but I also don't want to have have to pan horizontally or mess with font size.
- Sometimes the marker showing where you left off appears, sometimes it doesn't. I'm not sure why, and so I've resorted to leaving a word I can search for at the point I left off.

Great Product

I love the product and I love that I'm able to use it across all my devices. The only difference is that I wish it would work more like the full version you get on your laptop or desktop. It's just minor things that are a little bit difficult to do on the tablet version that would make using the product a lot easier if you didn't have to do some backdoor stuff to get it done. They're also certain features that you cannot do on the tablet version that you are able to do on the full version on your laptop or desktop. Despite the difficulties I would highly recommend this product as I use it for school and work and it is an amazing product.
