Midnight Calling: Jeronimo by LynxMinx

I just wanted to thank Dracyy for looking out for me. Happy holidays, Dracyy! I will get back to you after I play.
This game had all the bells and whistles but I didn't love it anyway. You could customize your settings, loading was instantaneous between locations and there was a marked (if so customized) teleport map to transport you. Inventory was labeled and there were complex items to assemble. There was a diary and objectives were regularly updated. The graphics were darkly exquisite and the cut-scenes were electrifying. At each location you collect morphing objects, coins and tarot cards, but I detest collectibles as I view them as a distraction and also a way of lengthening a game that isn't as long as I would have liked! You get cute animal helpers which was a very good thing when there were RATS! The HO scenes had variation and there were many puzzles and games, but some of them were very confusing and others were of either dexterity or boring rotational types. There was a lot to do at each location, and many parts resembled each other, to the point that I found it tiresome at times. I also had some trouble with inventory placement. The game, even with the bonus adventure, was quite short. So my actual rating is 3.5 stars! This game was hard on my eyes and exhausted me! I guess it just wasn't my cup of tea!
Lynxie sends warm holiday wishes to Dracyy, Izzyoc, KimTwilight and the entire DTE!

Very Intriguing!

Loved the storyline, graphics, voiceovers. It also has some interactive hidden object scenes as well as lists and silhouettes. Puzzles were fun. Warning - some 4 legged rodents in this game! Always, a joy to play elephant head games. Sorry to see it come to an end. Really gets you involved in the plot - not predictable which is a huge plus in my opinion.
Thanks to the developers and Big Fish for this very entertaining game.

WAY too short

I bought it on sale, after trying the trial game. The trial was over quickly, and I THOUGHT it MIGHT mean the game was short, too. It was. I finished the entire game and bonus within a few hours, while watching TV! Duh! So, for me, not worth the $3.99 I paid for it.

It has all the bells and whistles, but there are problems, too. Sometimes you can't place an item because the game won't allow it at that time. Sometimes trying to place or pick up an item is iffy and takes several tries to get it just right enough for the game to accept it.

Some puzzles had very poor instructions. Some were WAY too simple. Others were boring. And some so confusing I had to skip them, like the third puzzle in opening a bunch of locks on a safe.

All in all I was very disappointed. It could be a good game, but.....
