Mark Twain’s ghost has come to you seeking help from an evil that has been stalking him in the afterlife. Trace the steps in Twain’s past that led to a lifetime of anguish. Twain’s passion for literary history reignites a controversial debate about the true identity of Shakespeare; the age-old question resurrects a series of malevolent characters. After waking an unexpected evil, Twain sets about to rid his time of the darkness, but the plot only thickens. With Twain’s help, you have to unravel the connections to try and set history straight while dangerous forces loom.
Who wrote the works of Shakespeare? And just how did Mark Twain get caught up in a strange Elizabethan rivalry all those years later? Find out in this Midnight Mystery!

AWESOME & ENGAGING!!!
I would give this game 10 stars if possible. For the TYPE of game that it is, the makers have done a FANTASTIC JOB at the AMAZING artwork, special effects (movie-like special action scenes).
Let me now express how addictive this game has become to my 4 year old (and us, because we have to help him "talk" to the ghosts and figure out the next tasks and goals). He can get through the game pretty good by himself with some help about every 10 min or so.
I have been searching and searching for an in-between game that has THIS kind of artistic and in-detail mystery, there are many types of these mystery games for adults but I wish there were a few options for someone who cannot read (aka my four year old). I would definitely purchase that. Ideas for this so as not to disrupt the current adult-flow of the game by giving away too much mystery, would be the following updates to this game (for the age range):
On the search for hidden items scenes where there is a written list, this game will provide a shape of the object when clicking on the item name. My son cannot read, so this is SOMETIMES helpful but sometimes just too vague. It would be cool if there was a toggle button or something in the options even to turn on a sort of "picture mode" so that he could find all the items without the help of an adult because he cannot read what he needs to find.
He quickly and intuitively read the Guide and figured out before I got a chance to sit with him to show him how to play this - how to combine objects and made the tea in the first scene right away. So that was cool, but I wish the Guide would follow the story so if he needed extra help on certain scenese like when talking and conversation with the Ghosts it could simplify what he needs to do in a picture form…. or some thing like a "show me" - but the HINT is pretty good about that. So maybe not.
We originally got in to this type of game from a different one I got on an off chance FREEBIE on the iPad (not the same developers I don't think). He is going through that game for the 3rd time since April (2012) and doesn't tire of it. It's nice because it works on solving things and he LOVES the mystery and figuring things out.
I have TRIED AND TRIED to find a childrens mystery game with as mush robust artwork and mystery but they are all too simple, boring and don't have the details he likes. He LOVES the Inventory, the hints and the goal/task list helps.
The only thing I would say, for both adult and children, is that the GOAL board sometimes is a little too vague. THe game we play on the iPad is called Gravely Silent and I really do like how they do their hints and task list better. Personally. But it IS the first mystery game we got so I may just have a hard time switching my brain over.
Anyway…. for an adult, this game is awesome and intense. I'm not as much in to all the reading it has with the story (I'm not THAT patient) but the mystery is great. The plot and system seem really solid. Definitely worth the $ for something you could play again and again. I know my son will start a new game the instant he finishes this one. HE LOVES these. I REALLY hope you guys as developers would consider adding some features to simplify or add extra-EXTRA help for a little kid who has the patience and focus to play this thing for hours - I caught him TRYING his hardest to sound out the words (he's in pre-school) to figure the game out himself because I was cooking dinner and dealing with his baby sister and couldn't help him at the moment.
This needs more reviews - it deserves it! Oh and not sure if I missed it in the home screen of the game or something but I went there, originally to see if there was a "Rate this App" button but there wasn't one. I never Rate & leave comments on apps because I get too busy, but thought this was well worth it plus I wanted to put in my request for myt 4yr old.
THANKS! GREAT GAME!
Feel free to contact me if you would like more details for a smaller child to play this game without assistance too. :) in my hopes and dreasms haha.
