Make your eyes more confortable at night from now on.
Always think the brightness adjustment that Mac supplied is still too bright? Midnight is the rescue! It allows you to further dim your screen with just one click, and you can adjust the level of darkness as whatever you want.
The Midnight icon located at the top right system bar indicates the current mode (sun for the Day Mode and moon for the Night Mode). Click the icon to switch between Day and Night modes or adjust the darkness. Right click the icon to set your preferences. Simple and easy to use.

Useful, but two things
This app is useful, but two things:
When it dims your screen, its not using the monitor hardware adjustment rather some sort of software adjustment. This means that the same amount of light is still emitted from the screen and from wierd angles it still hurts my eyes. I was hoping this app was a shortcut to operate the dimming buttons on my Apple Cinema HD Display and Apple keyboards. Their functionality is serperate from this app, yet still fully functional while this app is turned on.
Also, os x screenshot functionality is messed up while this application is running. If you try to take a single windows screenshot (where the cursor is the big black camera) it comes out as a blank grey slate, which I think has something to do with what I mentioned above about this being some wierd dimming technique that isn't actually lowering the amount of light behind the screen.
Great App, just needs more...
This app is great at what it does, but I feel like there should be more for my dollar. There's a similar app on the Mac store called "Dimmer than Dim" that is now free and can reach almost as dark of a level as this app (I have tested it myself, this app can get just the smallest bit darker), so I see no reason to charge the $0.99 more.
I'll give this 5 stars, but if it had more features like shortcuts for darkness or maybe auto-darkness then I'll feel like I have better spent my money.
Good App, but not perfect.
Midnight gets the job done as a simple screen dimmer. It's intuitive and easy to use which I appreciate. But there's room for improvement.
I use multiple desktops (formerly know as spaces, now part of Mission Control) and when switching between them with Midnight in "night" mode, the screen turns solid black during the transition which is quite jarring. I would also love to see a timed auto fade so that the screen automatically dimmed according to the time of day.
