The iPatientCare miEHR (mobile EHR) is a scaled-down version of our full-featured EHR, and is meant to provide highly mobile healthcare providers with anywhere, anytime access to patient’s clinical records at the point-of-care. This system allows physicians to view a complete clinical summary of patients, write a quick script, and capture charges, while making hospital rounds or visiting hospices.
It makes the digital dashboard available to the physicians on their finger tips and allows them to stay connected with the office from wherever they are. All the refill requests, lab results, appointment list, messages are delivered to them in a secured manner and they can perform the necessary actions using a simple touch of a button. What’s more? They get alerted for all the new documents and tasks, even when they are not connected to the system.

Great app for mobile access to key parts of desktop/web iPatientCare
This app works amazingly well. It's a great version for iPhone, and works (2x magnified) on iPad as well. The Home page lets you search for a patient, view your appointments, sign Rx refills, labs and diagnostic reports. You can even create and send messages (Flags) to yourself or your staff. If you tap on the patient header in any section, the icons at the bottom of the Patient Details page let you navigate to their appointment history, any pending items, create a message, and even have access to their entire Clinical Patient Record (CPR). In the Medications section you can prescribe, reorder, modify or discontinue a medication. It's wonderful to have this level of detail via a mobile app. This is not the full EHR. You cannot create a new encounter note. For that you have to go back to the full desktop/web version. Also you cannot see any attachments of scanned items. You cannot sign an unsigned note from the CPR screen. You cannot view other types of items in your full desktop version inbox, like unsigned notes. The Quick Summary button on the Rx Refill Approval screen is very nice. It allows you to see the medication list, problem list and entire last visit note. It would be a useful enhancement to have that button on the Patient Details screen. Overall, iPatientCare EHR users will be happy with the time they save and the access they have if they download and use this iPhone app.
Great app.... more features would have been even better
While away from the office, you can easily access your scheduler to find out how your day looks like. You can also view scripts and review/reject or even transmit them while on the go. Another good feature is that you can send flags/messages to your staff at the office eliminating the need to phone in. One feature I would like to see in the next update would be the ability to add/modify visit notes. It would make charting easier and could use voice dictate/Siri in inputting notes.
Director of Operations
IPC has done a wonderful job with this app! There are so many features that make my job easier and faster when I am away from the office! Not only can I stay up to date with all my flags, rx refills, and appointment information, I can easily view a patient account and make medical decisions because all the necessary information is at my finger tips. Thank you to the programmers and engineers for giving me the opportunity to stay connected to the practice no matter where I am!
