Gorgeous visuals and well put together
This book has some amazing visuals. The pictures have such depth and are so vibrant they seem to jump off the page. The storyline was interesting and i liked that it featured a strong woman character of the grandmother who was an explorer and researcher.
The voice over and music were extremely well done.
My child and I also liked how each page contained a secret / special spot to touch to bring the page to life with visuals and unique audio tones. We found ourselves creating interesting beats with the tones. Also included is a great memory game and a puzzle using pictures from the story. I can't wait to see more by this artist / author
This is a nice little book. Not sure what could be boring about it as another reviewer suggested. It does not simplify the language for kiddos and I to got a lot of questions about "what does xxxx mean?" but that is a positive in my book. Nice opportunity to engage your young reader. The only reason it is not a 5 is the words are not highlighted while the voiceover is going. This is minor but studies show that this helps with little ones learning to read and I appreciate that small detail. Nice book….
This is one of the better books I've downloaded - and for free! Beautiful graphics, a nice story line (tho a bit simple/rushed) and decent fluency (I like that the narrator uses some expression!). There are some really nice interactive elements throughout the book - pictures glow, flowers "bloom" and taps create music. The included puzzle and memory game were basic, but fun for my kids too. Lovely app.
